I've got a spesh bg saddle, and a wtb rocket. Both are quite nice 🙂

The fizik ladies specific ones seem good too 🙂

I don't like shopping (unless its for bike bits…)

I do have my seat somewhat tilted forward, and even then I'm not leaning on it, no idea why…I've tried leaning back more but its just uncomfortable. I'c going to blame my long legs / short arms combination!

woah this thread has gone on for a long time and doesn't seem to get very far (which does imply whats already out there is pretty good 😉 )

Just read this, some of it may be relevant to your discussion..

Yep, it would appear to be a win win situation….I get to buy what I want, and I get a bit of money back from it so I feel better about buying what I want 😛

I was told not to eat or drink anything for 8 hours before…arrived starving at the hospital at 9am, they then told me I was going to be at the bottom of the list (ended up not being done until half 4!), they told me to drink squash up until 12 to make sure I wasn't dehydrated, and apparently I would be less likely to be sick.

I woke up, fell straight back to sleep again for an hour. Was tired for a few days afterwards, and a bit sore. But all in all not a bad experience.

Something tells me he's borrowed that bike from someone taller 😉

Must be part of the plan for us to win more medals, all the british riders will know that a velodrome has "changed" into that, and can get really fast at it but no one else will know until they turn up 😛

I've got one which is mainly upbeat songs for when I'm riding, and then another which is just a collection of songs I like, all different.

    Ouch! That looks sore…

As far as helmet breaking goes, I'm no expert but I was under the impression that although compression of the helmet would result in more of the energy being dissipated surely the cracking of the helmet is going to have an effect? And just the fact it has a hard shell means its going to offer protection. Might not prevent your brain being thrown around in your skull and what not but anything that puts a barrier between head and potentially sharp, pointy rocks has got to be a good thing right?

Get down to your local dealer. They'll be able to get hold of them easier than you 😛

I assume this has been said already (but I'm too lazy to read everything but wanted to contribute)
Do you need 2 steel singlespeeds? Can get rid of one of them and you probably wouldnt notice!

Or get rid of the lot (apart from you're carbon road bike!) and get yourself a full bounce, a singlespeed swift, and a geared soul… and you're covering (almost) everything then, just leaves the roadrat on the wish list because everyone needs to want a bike!

Random point…did anyone else notice in the cold snowy dream you couldn't see their breaths in the cold?

Just be there for her. Offer her your ear and your shoulder (for listening and crying). If she was thinking about kids then its gonna be hard for her, for a while.

Try and get her out and about doing something (like riding, but if she doesn't like riding something else) to take her mind off it, at least for a short period of time to make sure things don't go wrong with alcohol and worse.

There was some definite wobbling so he must be home, and he saw his kids faces which he couldn't do in any of his dreams.

Buy 2nd hand (something from on-one 😛 ) or upgrade your first bike 😉

it might come straight with a bit of a wiggle, I'm sure tubes can sometimes get pulled round the rim a bit (therefore leaving the valve at a dodgy angle)

You don't need a hose to wash your bike…thats what buckets are for. Don't need a hose for much really, most things that a hose can do can be done with a bucket or a watering can!

I expect they'll be flooding before long, then it'll turn out to be an average summer rainfall wise!

Corsa? If you get the 1.2 or the 1.4 the engine size is big enough (I've got the 1l version…fine apart from driving a full car in the peak district)
If you get the 5 door version rather than the 3 you should be able to get a bike or 2 in the back if you pack them well! 😛

Or…keep your eye out on auto trader, there's often private sellers looking for a quick sale who sell decent cards for much less than they're worth, but they don't hang around long!

Do you think you'd notice if *someone* borrowed him for a while? 😉

Very cute pup, look forward to seeing updates as he grows up and his trail of destruction increases!

If you're feeling fine, and maintaining your weight (assuming you're not trying to lose weight) then stick with it. If you're losing weight and you don't want to, try and get more calories and what not in your diet. Its a matter of making small tweaks and seeing what happens.

I'm no professional in the matter but everyone is different so it strikes me as just keep going with what works for you.

Both good bikes, go with whatever one fits you or whichever one you like the look of 😛

If fit and colour is acceptable on both I'd go for the Trek, just because I like them better as a brand (not really backed up by anything…just my personal opinion 😛 )

Environmentally friendly as long as they don't do what aston martin (and possibly others) do, they grind up their used carbon fibre into little pellets and stick them in landfill just because its part of an aston martin!

Don't think I'd be too worried about the planes made of CF, they're less likely to crash than a mountain bike and if they do they won't do any worse than metal!

I was looking at them, and the stems. They look nice, would be also intrigued to hear of any experience people have had with them thus far.

Foxy, they look exactly like my Ragley ones, 'cept they say superstar on, how much do those ones cost?

    I use tf2 / gt85 on and off, although now using lock-ons (which required a hammer…)

Removable peak, the athlon is identical to one of the giro roadie helmets (the name escapes me…), 'cept its £10 more expensive and has a peak.

    Buy an athlon 😛

I use the colour replacement tool in photoshop, put it to grey and then wherever you "paint" it changes it to grey but keeps the tone. Simple 😛

I use the 661 wrist wrap as well, although have found it irritates the skin between my thumb and index finger if I wear it on longer rides. Also a pain with gloves, but other than that it does the job well 🙂

They're nice bikes. Just like a mini adults bike unlike some of the cheap ones which are half the size of an adult bike but way at least twice as much!

Give it a year or so and she'll be costing you lots when she wants a bike like yours!

Cut the ends off if its only 1cm? Or if you dont want to, I'd just keep a watchful eye on it.

Before I start I haven't read everyone else's answers (just a random few) cus I'm lazy so apologise if I repeat anything!).

I think it is possible to effectively change who you are, but I think it's very difficult. I went to uni with a view to changing, but I reverted back to my old ways (then again I'm lazy…).

I think with enough effort and willingness to change though, it would definitely possible, although whether anyone would really want to change and effectively live a lie I don't know.
