Bigger holes that a bacon strip won’t do, but that’s all you’ve got and you rather try anything than just walking?
Pop the bead off, put additional strips in the loop inside the tyre and pull it snug from the outside.
Reseat and inflate
1BearBackFree Member<p style=”text-align: left;”>If they’re not a solid feel on the stand, i’d say there’s air in there.</p>
I’ve found 8120 and 9120 4-pots like to trap air in the caliper and a gravity “flush” absolutely won’t help you with that… unless you have the caliper in you hand and can have the bleed nipple above the caliper body, contorting into all manner of positions whilst tapping it furiously.BearBackFree MemberIf GT are the bike of choice for many privateers (DH per pinkbike), why would a brand need to pay riders when the jobs being done at a more grass roots level.
Sensible budget allocations I’d think to drop your paid athlete liabilities and increase your privater support by lowering bike/frame pricing to those that purchase.
BearBackFree MemberWhat if the risk had been noticed and the dog had just been recalled (call, Whistler, whatever) and was dutifully returning to heel with it’s owner under perfect control, unfortunatly the timing was such that their two trajectories collided.
Technically the dog was therefore under control and it was all just an unfortunate accident.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Not simply defending the dog as my wife had a life changing injury caused by two playing dogs in an off leash scenario but just pointing out that everyone’s perception of events and definitions will always differ.</p>BearBackFree Memberdon’t use mdf or chipboard, use what you’re suggesting.. second piece below for tyres to rest on to balance the look?
Timberlock of GRK type structural screws (self tapping screws, stronger than lag bolts in a wide range of lengths) into your studs.

BearBackFree Memberquote without stw formatting ****:
just to throw a cat among the pidgeons..
I could see this and / or arson becoming a thing, if bikes just aren’t selling..
end quotesounds like lots of brands and distributors are sat on lots of inventory.. tough if you can’t sell it and your loan repayments are still being made.. especially as everything’s paid in full pre-production from China etc now.
Insider chatter that we might even see some bigger brands fail soon, not just the small guys selling outdated geo chiner catalogue frames.
Thieves suck.BearBackFree MemberCan’t have a low/no budget graphic design thread without David the designer.
1BearBackFree MemberYou’d hate the USA cash converting trend of buying slabs of food stamp bottled water dumping it out to get the bottle deposits money back.
Not even drinking it, just watering the parking lot
BearBackFree Memberin answer to your title question, All mountain becomes Enduro when you stop at the top of the descent for some unreasonable amount of time waiting to go down again. Otherwise its all the same.
Wheels/rims wise, XM481 will serve almost any riding so just get those.
1BearBackFree MemberHad an LG g4 with leather rear cover and removable batteries. Original one wasn’t much use after 12 months so bought a 3rd party replacement battey which was rubbish… Bought an LG original battery which was also rubbish. I still have an LG g4 in the drawer and 3 batteries. Ended up buying a new phone instead which doesn’t have a replacement battery but going the 40-80% battery care has so far negated any need for a new battery after 4 years use.
BearBackFree MemberMakes me realize how staggeringly spoilt I’ve been, particularly over the last 15 years.
Every bike I’ve ridden has been new except
2001 loaner of a Giant ATX880 for my first season in Whistler.
2003 purchased ex-rental Kona stab garbanzo,
2006 season loaner of a Banshee chapparal
2016 weekend rental of an Ibis mojo in Sedona.
New bikes.. I don’t think I should put a number down.

Also getting it on Windows chrome, but at least I can click it away on the pc.BearBackFree Membernot sure it’d be worth pushing the 32mm stanctioned SID to 120mm.
As Kryton said, stiffen the chassis.
Sid Ultimate at 35mm or 34SC at 34mm for 120mm forksBearBackFree MemberI ran my 2017 Spark 700 Tuned with 29ers and a 140mm 36. Adding 20mm up front did not disappoint.
3BearBackFree MemberPretty embarassing for Luca that he – a pure mountain biker – can’t corner as well on dirt as a roadie
BearBackFree MemberKnifed my Scott genius and could honestly have just lacquered it as the layup was faultless.
Just started knifing a yt Tues for a chainstay repair and it’s full of filler with layers of carbon that don’t meet on the straightest tube. Plan was to knife all then lacquer but I probably won’t spend those 20+hours doing it now.
There was a company called carbon strip that made a chemical.
Etoe on YouTube also is using cherry pit blast media and happy to break out the sander.
“Local” U-blast place has a walnut shell cabinet, I might do that just to get the paint mostly off.. but they think it might end up etching the carbon.
BearBackFree MemberThe T2R and Bearback model simply cant work anymore.
Tourism Whistler’s success in marketing the resort as a summer destination, Vails buy in etc made it a desirable summer destination, not just a ski town with relatively undiscovered bike trails.
So, investors came in and quite rapidly destroyed the property inventory. We started in a properly tourist zoned 4 bedroom chalet with an attached staff suite that we paid 1/6th of the equivalent winter season rent. This was essentially the annual property tax lability for these owners.. they just wanted something rather than it sitting empty.
As we grew we ended up in the Altavista, an 11 bed chalet with attached staff accom. The owners of almost 20 years were presented with an offer that let them get their money out, they took it then the Altavista chalet was renovated.
Commercial mortgages also were a challenge so it needed to be venture capital money.
The same new owners as those who also bought T2R’s property. They also bought 2 other tourist zoned B&B pensions.
Of the 4 remaining, 2 were turned into private homes and the other 2 managed by their owners as airbnb.
Unfortunately, the specific zoning needed to operate a property in the way BBB and T2R did, was circumvented by Airbnb/nightly direct rentals that did not meet the zoning requirements but the municipality wasn’t enforcing, so the owners were able to turn over similar revenue with significantly reduced occupancy.. less occupancy, less wear and tear, better for owners.
This issue still exists. The catered concept is dead.Guiding wise, corrections in the insurance risk assessment from the underwriters doubled premiums overnight.
Now you need to do much bigger volume to cover those overheads. This typically now sees guiding outfits moving into the kids camp and rider development program space rather than daily guiding. Day guides still exist but I don’t know any that don’t have a primary job that pays the bills.I wouldn’t change my experience with BBB from 2005 till we sold in 2020..well, in hindsight we should’ve charged more from the start and perhaps we’d have been positioned to buy the Altavista and be cashing the $4000/night airbnb cheques by now ;)

Side effect of more modern LLS geo and steeper seat tubes and slight nose down saddles?
BearBackFree MemberThe ST version 160/150 looses the fork lockout in favour of better dampers and looses solid rear lockout as it uses a piggyback shock for better descending that has no 0mm option. It still has a “not travel locked” (firm) climb mode and the middle mode is still 100mm reduced travel for when you’re not pointed directly down hill.
The regular (non-ST) 150/150 genius retains fork lockout and 0mm locked rear in an inline shock like previous generations
Mode adjust travel control on the Scott bikes has always been a great tool that really needs as little thinking about as changing gear or using a dropper post. It’s there, you use it, it has a genuine benefit.
BearBackFree MemberAcros 32.52.107R1-AM and 11.52.106R2-AM and you’re off to the world of regular bars and stems for an extra 15 euros.
Have these on my bold linkin with the same headset arrangement as the new genius and I run a one-up bar and FSA gradient stem.
BearBackFree MemberWhy are you just going to just keep an eye on it?
If you suspect it’s a crack, visit a Scott dealer and have them asses it for you.
There are warranties in place if it is. Doesn’t matter if you registered it or not.
I’m going with it’s an upsetting scratch and forget about it.
BearBackFree Member180mm front, 203mm rear.
No dramas here for my little shredder

BearBackFree MemberSmash your budget by 38 quid (use the discount code)
which code?
BearBackFree Memberbest in the world
yes and no.. there’s an entry allocation by country so there could be riders there that have never ridden a gap jump and potentially riders that have never ridden a world cup level xco
I assume the quota is there to be filled if you have the budget to send athletes
That mandatory gap is a big ask.. Easy for Scotty on his 160/150 bike though :)
BearBackFree MemberSounds like you might have some time before he’s ready to progress anyway, so don’t rush it. Let him get comfortable with feet up coasting, steering corrections without feet down etc.
If you can, i’d add a hand brake to the balance bike
Once he’s got balance biking sorted (See Jackscon Rides to School where he’s buzzing down the road) thats when you can transition up to pedals.
I’d advocate for typical size progression though. Balance – 14 – 16 – 20 – 24- 26 – 27.5 – mullet – 291BearBackFree MemberIf it still happens with a new headset installed normally and and the bike was new to you, I’d start a warranty claim as it could be a tolerance thing.
I had the same with a bike that wasn’t new to me and PTFE worked for longer than grease, but bearing sleeve assembly loctite has been good for 1.5 seasons now.BearBackFree Membernot available in canada.
other funghi derived “ground meat-a-like” products are available.. typically next to the tofu
BearBackFree MemberUnless the lab meat developers can create a lobbying group larger and better funded than the meat farmers, then I unfortunately suspect this will remain fairly niche.
BearBackFree Memberphoto of your ring and that frame repair might be useful too.
I manage about 3 months on an FSA chain ring with 12 speed before it starts to hook out and make a clicking sound on the chain release at the bottom of the ring. A year with a muddy winter of riding and that’s likely a strong culprit.
“Bagginess” doesn’t help retain chainsBearBackFree Memberbut grease stops them working anyway
When you say seized clutch causes more problems, I assume you mean that the cage gets stuck forwards under suspension compression resulting in zero chain tension. This is seized needle rollers, not the clutch friction plates.
You absolutely need to keep water out and grease in.What about a longer thin bolt that runs right through the main pivot to hold a modded 2017 chain device? Donthisnwithbthw cranks out obvs.
Chain line went to 55mm for 2022 so you could potentially leave 3mm of material of that captive nut chain guide on as a mounting face without it interfering.
Or keep the rubber plug and bond the modded 2017 chain device to your bonded repair.BearBackFree MemberEvery pivot, shock mount, seat post clamp, stem bolt, compression cap, lockon grip clamp, and rear axle is torx on Scott.
I don’t have a tool without t25 and almost every synchros tool I have has all the relevant t-sizes for the bike.
I like it as I’ve lost most of my ball end Allen’s but my torx set is still completeBearBackFree MemberBike park speed was outside of my ability to control with 29/29 and had to brake hard into every corner
Mulleted the bike and it was more manageable. More fun maybe as a result
Same bike for pedalling trail and back to 29/29BearBackFree Memberpick up on the ground from a different breaker,
Don’t think that’s how ground works.
BearBackFree MemberI prefer invisis xpel matt film over ridewraps product, it seems tougher and less prone to damage.
I’ve so found ridewrap to need more 3d manipulation (typically less and bigger pieces than invisis kit) on formed tubes.
That said, I’m about to do a Bold Linkin in ridewraps matt because they had it available.
