Used to use the HD trailstar/MM but found the front end always wanting to wash out more so on the HD when it starts to get clarty so now changed it to the Butcher and for a cheapish tyre is does the job nicely

Found the MM terrible in the mud

My F/S is my do it all bike and used all year round, in the winter when its really muddy after a ride I leave it for a few hours then brush of the heavy mud and dry the chain and re-lube and clean and silicone the stanctions or maybe clean the brakes if it was really bad.

Last winter i was forever blitzing the bike after every ride and I found it knackered most of the bearing which ended up being very costly !!

So now minimum cleaning but cleaning the drive chain is a must

We was near the dales centre in the corner and it was rammed there so clearly you had a less busy area … your meaning of loads of space is clearly different to mine obvs !

Got the same issue where we now life .. when we bought our new house it came with a big driveway/land but weirdly it also included the front of the next door neighbours garage but now that the new neighbours have moved in we now have to reverse our car into our driveway as theres not enough room to turn around.

It is becoming an issue now as its our driveway and we shouldn’t have to struggle to park our sodding car daily !

I have the E4’s and I LOVE’EM ! regardless of any weather conditions and regardless of how clarty it gets they stop me !

Coming up to 12 months now of fault free riding…

I had issues when using the shimanos hence why I changed to hopes, it was down to feedback I asked for on here and the people who said they are great were right !

I got 1700km out of mine, and it still wasn’t jumping… only changed it as I had a race coming up and couldn’t risk it failing on that.

There was a lad at the start of the year who was localish who was on a mission by trying to get all the local KOM’s close to me and that then started the 1st competitive starva streak in me ! after months of stealing each others KOM’s he backed off ! never ever met the lad but ever now and then he shows up an appearance :o

Well as bad as starva can be and how people look at it I do find it great for motivational purposes as I only started mountain biking seriously 2 years ago and started the strava shenanigans this February and achieved over 40 KOM’s this year, and thats the best motivational tool ever.

And all achieved on my Spesh Enduro, there is a few which I’ve lost due to the local whippets on the CX bikes but that only gives me a target to get them back, some are just impractical due to my bike but I still give it a go anyway.

I’m probably fitter now than when I was in my 20’s ! and I’m fast approaching 48 … but I don’t half friccin ache after a good sesh on the bike the following day

Madness … I obviously run mine on the rear as its meant too and even after 6 months it still has the tendency to gives way without warning and having one on the front would be a&E time

But I do love the RR its mint !

Your file size is 618mb ??? the 520 only holds 100mb max and that is if you also delete the original basemap

I use my old Arc’teryx SV Goretex Pro which is phenomenal is bad conditions, best goretex jacket I’ve ever owned.

You might get a good 2nd hand one on fleabay if your lucky

Had this 520 about 2 wks now and its not bad, obviously its got its teething problems as any new system would do,by not identifying certain segments I’m doing and it turns itself off during rides !

I’ve changed the crappy basemap and installed the open street map which gives me the trails if I’m going to a new area.

I’ve got quite a few KOM’s since I’ve had it and its actually nice to start a segment without blowing out your @rse ! when not knowing where it did actually start in the 1st place

Hopefully they will increase the number of strava life segments at some point as 100 is not enough if your going to different area’s all the time

I’ve recently started using the Fox Enduro ones on my rides as I never used to before unless I was on the techy stuff but after having some heavy falls recently its a piece of mind more than anything else.

They are comfortable and don’t even notice your wearing them.

Probably pish in a heavy spill but its a form of protection

Worked for me also, downloaded the map tiles from openstreetmap and dropped the file into the garmin folder and changed the file name and it worked.

Shame the 520 still has has problems but I’m hoping the next update will sort that out :|

Used to have the Touareg years ago and it was a fuel guzzler, lovely to drive but very thirsty indeed and it was the V6 diesel.

Last year I got the Volvo XC60 AWD and its in a different league! fantastic car to drive and the fuel economy is really good, yes its a 4X4 but it only goes into AWD once the road conditions dictates and the safety features are second to none.

I’d definitely buy another one again
