Hi bud, Looking at a possible move out to Calgary and just wanted to know wheres the trails are around Calgary/Banff and what are they like ?

I was posted out there in the 90’s and been to Calgary quite a few times and a lot and around Banff and Jasper but don’t know anything about the mtb trails around there, thats why I am asking if anyone had been around there.

Fair point mate, I was aware there was no need to remove it :D

Yes I am aware’ but the self extracting cap has been loose and not sitting right on the crank, so I need to remove it and have a look.

I’ve managed to remove the crank already to service the bearing but the self extracting cap isn’t sitting correctly at the moment

Regularly just brush mine down but when mine get really manky I just put them in on a 30′ wash just making sure all the straps and zips are done up and never had any probs

I do rate the 1X11 SRAM setup as I’ve been using it now for about 13 months but now on my 2nd Cassette/Chain ring(Absolute Black) and chain… its good but costly

+1 Strava Challenges .. got 6 this month, for bike and running’ never used them before and its certainly gives me the boost to get out … roll on December

I’m nearly 48 now and I’m probably fitter now than when I left the forces 11 years, since I took up mountain biking years ago its given me the drive to stay and keep fit and I’m running again now which I hated doing as it was one of the mundane things you had to do.

I packed in smoking 2 years ago and I was on about a 100 a day !!! seriously … but changing my lifestyle I enjoy getting fit now.

But when I do get an injury now the recovery period is long but age is a bitch :|

I’ve gone back to running again, 50km a week will keep stop me getting fatter with chrimbo and over the winter period, but will be still using the bike now and again but I won’t be in that much of a rush to get back on it now I’m running again.

Got Hope Tech Enduro 29er rims and they have taken a right battering and still running true 12 months on.

Found them easy to set up for tubeless and goes up straight away but I am using the airshot like.

    Very happy with them.

They can be a life saver when out on the hills either solo riding or part of a group when things go wrong.

Got mine from Alpkit and packs down nicely and at a good price.
