Did the Border ridge last summer and it was brilliant, lovely and dry (which is rare) and it was all running fast until I started descending down clennell street then I hit a large group of friccin ramblers who purposely wouldn’t move out the way !!

Must go there more often really as its quite close to me, cracking place to ride for pure isolation … apart from friccin ramblers !

I clean the drive chain and forks if its really manky —- the expensive parts needs to be looked after in my eyes ( and I have OCD !)

Cheers @Benpinnick, Was just worried about all the issues I’ve had with SRAM even tho they have virtually replaced nearly all the parts of my bike to a new bike again!

Lost loads of time/training on the bike already this year and with races coming up it just doesn’t give me confidence in their parts.

Thanks @Mikewsmith for clearing that up

Question …. as I’m not quite sure how this bit works , my bike is coming up to 18 months old now, and I have had quite a few bits changed under warranty i.e forks x2 ,cranks x1 ,reverb stealth x 3 ,rear derailleur x1

So would as these parts still be covered under warranty once the bike is 2 years old ? or is it the individual item that would continue to carry the 2 year warranty ?

Ive been waiting a month already for my warranty replacement only to find out that the new 2016 stealth wont fit my frame as they had modified it ! so now been told I’ve got to wait upto 2 months for the 340mm post … very friccin annoying !

btw … I’m on my 3rd stealth in 14 months

Well considering the issues I’ve had since I bought my specialized I have had virtually had anything replaced 2/3 times in 14 months … so their warranty dept is very good

Fair play to SRAM they have just replaced the faulty items quickly but its still doesn’t give me any confidence in their parts and sadly no longer in the bike.. i’d understand if I crash every bloody ride and ride in shite conditions all the time.

Think its time to sell it and go back to a HT and hopefully my run of bad luck will stop there ! :|

Ditto Mike, possibly relocating to Canada soon so will be needing a sturdy and supportive bike bag as I’ll now be doing a fair bit of travelling.

Have just looked at the Pro Mega Bike Case which looks good so going to look for reviews about that one.

This was bound to happen at some point, such a shame tbh.. as if there wasn’t enough trails there in the 1st place !?
I’ve been going there now for a few years and I’m still good trails … well pissing off the FC is not a good idea.

I’ve got the MET Parachute and not used it as of yet, bought it so I could use it at last yrs Ard Rock, decided not to wear it as it was a warm day and I could only see a few folk wearing full facers … Mistake !!

Had a huge crash on S5 and smashed my face in … soooooooooo it’ll be getting **** worn this year regardless !

This is where the garmin 520 comes in into play, I’ve got quite a few KOM’s because of this, always assumed a segment started where I thought it was and normally it at least 20 metres from there.

I am quite competitive and always have been, I’ve got a decent bike and try to train as much as I can but nearly approaching 50 now I can’t wait to get into the Grand Vets cat! but theres are some seriously quick riders out there in that cat.

But I’ve found the harder I train the more prone I am to getting injured or getting the large.

But its the law of the sods as when I did last years Ard Rock I had a huge off on S5 and damaged the bike/plus face and lost about 10 minutes on that

Lets hope I don’t do the same this year ! :|
