This has now happened twice to me, totally smashed the derailleur to bits when the chain jumped off the lower jockey wheel

Going back to 11 speed as its way more bombproof

Did it last year and it was a good event, nice hill climb back up from S1 and again to the finish, S3 I think it wasn’t marked very well and quite a few overshot the course.

Doing it again this year so expecting it to be bigger and better.

I always liked my car, but it was impractical for my needs, going away at weekends with the wife and bike and the dog and setting up in the dark and mostly in the rain !

Recently bought a 63 plate LWB Renault traffic panel van and now converted it to a day van with a separate garage in the rear and I’d now never go back to a car

It’s perfect for going to race events, just rocking up and thats it !.

Now doing more trips away to the lakes, its been remapped which makes it drive nicer and more economical

Converting a van is cheap enough if you do it all yourself and it also makes a nice project

Really well run this year and did the sport this morning, S5 was a total hoon, and stoked finishing 22nd in Vets !
Could have been much quicker IF some folk did move out the way when I shouted RIDER !
    Roll on next year

Been using this for a little while now. and getting the hang of it slowly.. I’ve got Pike RCT3, but when you finish a session is says you must start the adjustments from top to bottom .. But when it comes to HSC theres no adjustment on these forks and what about the Bottom out resistance column ??

Might be a mong but need to know how this works

@Lawman .. Ive got Sram 11 speed cranks on mine at the mo so will that be compatible with the eagle GX groupset then ? … Tweet Cycles only have GPX group sets at the mo and not BB30 ..

Just noticed that Absolute Black do the 12 speed direct mount chain ring so don’t need the newer cranks … happy days

I find the aggressor a much better rear tyre, more grip and its predictable

Decent shorts but wear out quickly, had a pair changed under warranty last year (split seams) just sent them back again last week as the waterproofing seams have all fallen off internally .. they don’t last long for what you pay

That time of the year in that area parking is a premium and expensive and very busy with all the tourists coming in.

All the main carparks on the seafront are not overnight parking but I’d try and park on the main road on the left as your heading into Cullercoats, safe enough area and always busy.

    Hope this helps

Never really been one for riding in the gloop but now I really enjoy it,I’m actually now faster in muddy conditions and riding the bike more is giving me confidence to push it, still crash a lot but I’m now finding my limits to were I can push myself and the bike.

This will be the 1st winter were I’ll be constantly out on the bike in poor conditions as its making me a better rider.

Its meant to be really good @Paul and very similar to Ard Moors but minus the killer final climb !

You should be fine getting an entry as its a lesser known event .. good luck and hope you get a place and see you there
