I’ve rang up Spesh UK and Tftuned have tried their very best but its the actual frame sizing which is causing the problems, not enough room for the piggyback to sit in the top mount of the frame.

Tftuned are now sending me a different Ohlins to see id this variant will fit, hope it does as the standard shock is bollox

Well the TTX arrived from Tftuned and doesn’t fit my frame  … the shock body is rubbing up against the top frame, Specailized is a nightmare !

@chakaping … I did hear about folk putting 650b yokes on their 29rs … heard good and bad things about rubbing etc, and invalidates frame warranty, mines carbon, I’ll ring up tftuned and get their advice plus they stock all sizes

TBH I’m actually still enjoying riding in this shitty weather, my motivation is I’m turning 50 in a few months and making the most of riding in the slop and a few races last year I rode shite in the bad weather…

Yes its a chore cleaning the bike and gear but thats how it is ! PLUS I need to ride the bike regardless as being diagnosed with PTSD I need it as a stress relief.

Recently bought a pair and very impressed with the stiffness and grip, I use mine with Burgtec’s so very stable and grippy.

And they dry in no time, cant see me going back to 5’10’s as they only last a short time and were heavy and take ages to dry

I was in the same position bud, I always use uberbike sintered pads for the winter, but they are completely sold out, only way around this is to buy the finned pads then buy the replacements inserts to go with them.

Don’t think they do organic but the do matrix race, sintered or semi metallic.

Hope this helps.. they have a discount on at the moment

Ive been using the Sunnto Ambit for many years now and its taken a battering, great watch and very functional, currently got the Ambit2 but will be getting the Sunnto Spartan soon as I’d like a newer watch with more features plus it has bluetooth just for the ease for uploading rides.

Also has a built in HR monitor if you need that type of function so no need for the chest monitor.

Ive used the Palos for a few years now, hate riding with backpacks , always feels restrictive … used the palos for all my racing and carry only whats needed.

Earsdon Pit ! takes me back , used to play around there in the early 80’s on my YZ100 and getting chased by the rozzers making my way back to Monkseaton.

How times have changed and they will soon me building a new housing development there soon, last bit of mining history gone.

I first discovered it over 30 years ago, even failed to get into the forces as it was too bad, after loads of weird creams i.e. creams to burn the top layer of skin away ! I finally managed it get in.

I’m unlucky where I have 2 forms of it … common one which is plaque psoriasis and guttate which any cuts or wounds also turns the area into psoriasis

After many years of working abroad in the middle east it completely went but as soon as I finished working overseas its now slowly coming back

Best thing I’ve used is taking vitamin D tablets daily as its proved that psoriasis suffers lack vast amount of vitamin D.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with PTSD which doesn’t help and my stress levels goes through the roof when i get triggers, stress avoidance for me is non existent

Did the practice yesterday but only did 3 stages and raced today and it was better than I thought, the rain held off but S4 was trickier today and S6 was just bonkers ! Overall a cracking day out apart from getting to S2 first and having to wait 30 mins for the marshals to get ready ! Oh and S3 and S4 and S5

As its the 1st one you’d expect teething problems but having to wait around wasn’t good

Thanks bud, still the same but a lot less muck on the bikes due to the amount of water running down S5 … still cheeky tho

Just finished the Sprint … so we did stages 5 then 1 and 2 , S5 was better today as there was literally a river river down it so the tyres weren’t getting badly clagged up, S1 was mental and S2 was good fun.

Heading home soon, thanks to the marshals .. Its Enduro ! so you can’t book the nice weather… it was great fun regardless

Sorry to hear that, a good place where it does get busy is on Stage 5 where you come out of the bottle neck where you drop down onto the flat out section, someone will come along and describe it better !

Plenty of hecklers there last year
