Yes Doof Doof its looking that way, not really done much milage on the bike but having it fail after a short time is not good, I should find out today if they will be replaced under warranty but I want them both replaced and not just the one ! no confidence in sram at all now

Magic Mary Front 2.35 and Spesh Purgatory Rear on my 29er, Magic Mary took some getting used to but now its very confidence inspiring and now phenomenal grip once its leaned over.

1×11 Sram setup on my Spesh Enduro and its annoying and always problems with it, its only 4 months old and the jockey wheel bearings has already seized up !! ceramic bearings are meant to last so trying to get it renewed under warranty but its proving a nightmare going thru Specailized to chase up ! and I’m having to adjust the gearing every week as it keeps slipping … not liking it at all

Even if it is expensive, even if they made a billion pounds profit, what’s the issue? You want to do it or you don’t, if you begrudge people making a profit out of their effort and works I do hope you’re donating your salary in full every month to some worthwhile cause or working as an unpaid volunteer for one. I don’t see why anyone considers these things should be not for profit. We are not a charity that needs supporting by event organisers giving up their time for us to have fun.

    +1

Its a great event for folk to get together and an introduction for most wanting to race for their 1st time well try to for some ! … without these events the sport would become pretty boring and who cares if they make some profit ! they’ve put the time and effort into organising it.

    Have fun !!

Lovely road to drive up to Aviemore on BUT theres some suicidal arses on there tho, nearly whipped out by some idiot overtaking me by Pitagowen last winter …

All for more cameras if it cuts out crap like that

Sorted ! I took the caliper off and let it hang and plenty of air bubbles went straight into the top reservoir then left it to run thru then locked off the lower bleed nipple now its very sharp and I did pump the pistons out slightly as kayak23 described

Yeah I’ve rotated the lever 30″ degrees each way and tapped the line and squeezed the lever repeatedly …

Thats one method I’ve not tried yet is what you’ve done mudmonster and just remove the whole brake complete and bled it from there.

And if it doesn’t work after that then it could be buggered and I’ll see if I can send it back to CRC as the brake is fairly new.

Yeah crosshair I’ll remove the caliper and move it around next time as there must be more air trapped in it somewhere and its bugging the hell out of me

Cheers Kayak23 I’ll try that, my SLX are only bout 2 months old but been doing loads of rides recently and its been plastered in mud so i’ve even stripped the calipers apart and cleaned anything.

Even when they have been re bled the rear lever is still coming back to the bars so i’ll try your method

    Thanks

Its quite a good bike for riding up the techy climbs but now Ive changed the chainring its more controlled and more traction..

I bought this bike as a ‘1 bike does all’ and I’m more than happy with it.

I suppose the seat will take getting used too once my nads has gone numb but getting the reverb stealth is the better option but spending that much money on this bike there should be no need !

Have sorted the suspension for now just roughly to get me out and bed the pads in before the weekend play.

Just out of interest how much do the Specialized Command Post go for ? its brand new

Gamerrily – I’ve used ground anchors many times before when I had my motorbike but that then was in a garage with concrete and brick walls and now I have a shed with ply walls so now good.

I work away a lot so that doesn’t help but the wife is always at home at night so that will help if an alarm goes off as an extra deterrent but I’d rather they took what the want rather than any harm done to my family if I’m not here …. items can be replaced but still I’d rather save what I’ve got tho.

    Thanks Everyone for your response,

I suppose this subject is quite close to folk where scumbags have taken stuff already, I’d prefer an alarm to be triggered from the shed if they tried to gain entry as that way It’ll scare the mongs and hopefully they will do one.

I’ve just seen one on that link FunkyDunc just sent me for personal alarms for £40 which is a sensor alarm which I suppose It can be fitted inside the shed or fitted outside facing the shed either way it’ll be triggered and can be used with a fob but the wife has a habit of forgetting to remember things when she’s going out !!

    Thanks again for your reply’s

Yes bellys I’ve got power in the shed so I’ll look into a power source alarms as well as battery alarms can be expensive to run.

I remove mine also … nothing worse than coming back to your car to find it gone, the rack folds done easy enough so it just goes into the boot.

I have been looking into the SB95 for awhile now but thought the size would have put me off more than anything but just seen a good deal on a new carbon SB95 with upgrades.

I recently did a mtb event which was 50k and the 120mm rockshox I had was trashed beyond repair but it was a cheeky route so hence the reason why I did look into the bronson and 575 as there were plenty of those bikes there but I do like hitting the fast trails also …

I’m sure with 140mm shocks would make a huge difference on the SB95 as normally they are fitted with 120mm …

Thanks guys for your input … I’m in one of those positions where I do a lot of XC riding but want something which is fast and could take abuse when needed … I’ve even thought about the SB95 C … loads different but going up to a 29er would make a huge difference and narrow my options but it’ll be more on an aggressive ride.

But having rockshox Pikes RCT 3 on would make it more plausible and a better ride ?

I have the Trabec and after bad crash in an endurance event I’ve done recently it certainly saved my life ! the internals did what they are meant to do.

I impact was immense and it had done its job

I only had it a month so now I have to go and buy a bloody new one !!
