Ton, i think that you’re a bit larger than the average electric bike customer and a bit more mincecore lite too. hence the breakage. Definitely a warranty job, good luck getting it sorted.

so sorry for you mate, i know people laugh but we lost a cat last year that we had for 20 years and it was horrible. Take solace in the fact that you gave him the best life…if only we were so lucky. remember him fondly.

We have a female that is now 1 year old, she is tiny and we were worried she would bet bullied by the 3 cats and labrador next door. We need not have worried, she is like a mini tiger, an absolute lunatic of a cat. Very gentle with the kids but has kicked the dog next doors arse despite being tiny, absolutely fearless.. Kills loads of mice and climbs up everything and anything. Had a cat or 2 most of my life but im my experience they are the coolest cats ever.

i rode to the village shop earlier, 1.5 miles of smooth tarmac, on my 140mm forked chameleon. All smooth sailing you might think, but upon approaching the shop i hit 3 or more lolly sticks and an uneaten rolo. Had i only had my lightning cat reflexes and not the help of a 140mm forked hardtail it may well have been peanuts for me…thank god for gnarr tec..
edit:my god i cant imagine living up north and having to go through that whole experience whilst feeling cold!

why should a bike puncture be cheaper to fix than a car tyre? I expect the garages are making much more profit than the bike shop and treat it like a loss leader. Anyway, plenty of bike shops are charging the same hourly rate as some car mechanics/garages…

Are you even for real? What do you really expect them to charge? They are running a business. What would a mechanic charge you to fix something simple on your car? What batfink said, hit’s the nail on the head.

Never have done a test ride, just do your homework. I mean how wrong can you get it, it’s only a couple of triangles welded together (maybe with some bouncy bits too)

buy a king you t1ghtarse.. i have 2, both bought via ebay from the states, both cost about 60 quid, got the griplock thingy so no scored steerer, one is 12 years old and literally thousands and thousands of miles on it, the other is 8 years old, many winters of muddy crap and rain, never touched them in all that time, 2 or 3 bikes each. my oh has been through many xl/fsa/orbit, whatever jobbies in that time, shes now 2 years on a cane creek 110 that was 30 quid in crc sale, all good till now but if it does die i will bite the bullet and put a king on hers too,has absolutely nothing to do with my ego or gonad size…(it is just a headset on a pushbike)….

I certainly wouldn’t dispute that their are loads of ti bikes that have given good service. There’s far too many variables involved to explain why one cracks and another does not. I agree that all materials fatigue and rust, crack, snap whatever. But I bet if you had accurate failure rates, the amount of people who’s ti bike cracked under low stress/normal load would far out weight all the broken ali, steel, carbon frames out there per bike sold..seems indisputable to me…

    beanieripper

I’m still absolutely astounded that people are still prepared to buy a frame which is made from a material completely unsuitable for hard off road use. The number of ti frames that crack is huge and anyone trying to persuade you otherwise normally owns one and is trying to defend their own buying decision.
