yep, ride where ever I like really within reason. I don’t plan a ride around them but if they are on route and suitable then I always have. Obviously ride according to the terrain/place you are etc and ride sensibly…

£50 for a lowers service…blimey what are you guys on. If you can cook a pot noodle you can service the lowers…probably takes about twice what it does to cook a pot noodle though..

As much as I love old zocchi’s for a lot of reasons why anyone would recommend them in the same thread as people saying bolt thru axles are essential is madness. Old drop offs etc are great but will suffer from so much fore to aft flex that you wont notice what axle your running at all. If your riding with any get up and go. The difference between a stiff set of qr forks and a stiff set of bolt thru’s is not that huge…. so much sh1t spouted on this forum these days..

Went from 130mm coil revs to 140mm air revs, tried it at 120 but just not as good. 140mm is perfect and it still climbs like a goat..

fwiw, I swapped from a Thomson to a haven. Gotta say whilst I thought the Thomson was perfectly stiff, the haven is definitely stiffer when cranking on the bars…

I used to deal with claims for the biggest aftermarket warranty provider in the uk. Most of these warranties are pretty rubbish but can be excellent, it largely depends on the dealers relationship with the warranty company. A real point of contention used to establish wear and tear or failure is this….sudden mechanical failure, well that’s a claim. gradual deterioration , well that’s not. Unless specifically excluded in your policy as a service item your ok I would say. One minute it worked, the next it didn’t, i.e. sudden mechanical failure….good luck

I have a pair of XT hubs with well over 30,000 miles on them, yes 30,000 miles and ive just serviced them, no pitting. learn to look after your bike. and shimano DONT do that either…(not that im knocking hope)…

I assumed everyone knew that for ever everyone has known that shimano chains snap, sram are better or just buy a kmc, which in my experience never snap, compared to the countless shimano ones ive snapped

Cool, I was under the impression that non ust or non tubeless ready tyres were ok with a stans/strips set up but not with ust rims…might try to find some cheap tubeless ready tyres to give it a go…
