well i suppose it depends, bought some dtc nevegals a month ago and after 3 weeks they hit the bin, pinch flat like everyone says they do…

youve gotta be mad to spend much money on a late defender, i can understand buying a nice clean older one for 5k perhaps but no more. I was after a new offroader (tree surgeon) to replace my old hilux, long story 17k spent on a swb defender, main agent, leaky roof, door locks falling out, noisey diff, the list goes on and on, main agent proposed the leaks were fixed with sealant (read bathroom sealant)…do they look nice…yeah they do, they are cool, but they are so homemade that there isnt really any justifiable reason to buy one compared to the jap stuff thats about, even comparing off road ability…

Strange, I got one this morning in the post from Aspirevelotech, great service. Digger, isnt it obvious why you would want one?? I love king headsets but have just fitted a 140mm fork and was concerned about the scoring/o ring wear issue on the old style top section. For 20 quid delivered its a no brainer really…. and my thoughts… looks really nicely made, utilises the split ring system well and still has a water seal to stop ingress of water down the steerer into the headset…very happy..

Tbh i reakon mbr is the most fun trail at cyb by a mile, didnt really find the beast to be much of a beast at all really..

When you consider what you can build if you shop wisely i wonder on some 3-4k bikes where the money has gone on them..??

Do it without hesitation…..best thing you will ever do and all that..nothing better than a day in the hills to get a break aswell..

Haha, me too down from 3 bikes to just a chameleon, never rode the others anyway other than abroad, for UK stuff hardtail is king….
