+ when you service them you put 5ml in the top of the left leg…over time it just works past the seal and gets used up…

they pack down because the seal inbetween the two air chambers has got dry… happens alot. let the air out of both chambers then drop 5ml of fork oil (15wt) into the top of the left leg, this will lube the seal and stop em packing down, if this doesnt work then drop the lowers and whap some redrum on it. Had this on pikes and recons and both times this was the problem…

The pack is really nice, well made but the bladder in mine leaked like a very leaky thing.. pretty common for Dakine packs, dont know if the later ones have bladders that are updated though..

The gf has got a salsa, and imho they are much nicer in terms of paint and finish than the on ones, really nicely put together…

it’s all a load of cak, when god made the universe (i don’t believe in god) the he she or what didn’t make rules up about who and on what form of transport could enjoy this great earth. i’ve been riding 20 years, ride where i like when i like, but not blatantly, and use some judgement, respect and tact, i am polite to all people i meet. I often pass walkers on footpaths and always smile and remark on what a lovely day it is. Only had 1 incident that ever really bothered me in all that time. How many people on here really obey all bylaws, what a load of pap, after shes moaned about the tiny amount of land erosion you’ve made they will put a 15 lane motorway and housing estate on it….. be free, ride your bike and educate those less fortunate,less spiritual and more closed minded than yourself…

Might be, might not , I had this with some r/s, checked the headset, bars, stem, greased it all up, loads of times. Turned out to be the csu. Took the forks and wheel off and flexed the lowers together, would tick and creak.. The left stanchion was moving in the csu. If your dropping them out anyway to look at the headset, give em a flex together..

Our garden is pretty big, 90ft x 80 ft rear and about the same at the front. TBH i should have probably got a petrol but we have just got a Bosch Rotak 40 and I cant speak highly enough of it, £140 quid very well spent. Light, easy to push and leaves the lawn with nice stripes..

Cane creek 110 for 29 quid, that so is a bargain, got one for the gf bike

According to my last Viewranger track log, my max speed was 544mph (on a hardtail) If i was to go full suss I would break the soundbarrier, I don’t think regular sonic booms would go down too well in the quiet place I live. Did mine trying to pull wheelies about 20mph in flipflops on the road…bike looped out, flip flops came off, landed on one heel… couldn’t walk properly for about 2 weeks, i know your pain. Hats off though very impressive way to do it!

I couldnt agree more with you. I’ve been riding too long to admit to, the guys i ride with that are worried about their tech on 3k bikes have less fun than my non biking mates that come on their 300quid claud butlers for a blast and a pint. peace. and ride how you like.

Had the biggest hare iv’e ever seen run along side us last week for about 100m, flat out 30mph plus ,cut throught our group and put my friend off his bike. Then got a chain snap and had 2 punctures in the next 5 mins.. quite strange (hare’s are associated with witches/ancient folklore)

have you turned up the compression damping lately? they tend to sound more airey (if that’s a word) with more compression damping on

I had tried everywhere to find a 3.5mm elastomer, took some brand new Deus cranks off my gf bike and couldnt find the elastomer after my 2 year old decided to play with some bike parts. After searching the net with no luck I simply asked them if they could supply the part. shouldnt be that hard to answer, maybe I should have got my dog to ask.
