We were lying in bed, staring at the moon
And I was wondering if I was supposed to be in love
But we couldn’t quite decide if the moon was full
But I thought, well, tonight it’s full enough

And this morning I was casually trying to sniff my fingers
    On the way back home
I could smell you and I felt like a little boy
And we’ve been on these open seas far too long
So take a breath, take my hand, there’s land ahoy

I used to waste far too much time cleaning my bike really well..now i just brush off the worse mud when its dry, keep my drive train cleanish & lubed and clean fork stanchions each ride. once a year full strip down and rebuild..

I think most people that slag them off tend to ride “proper” natural trails more and arent scared to explore and put the miles in.imho all the best riding ive ever found has been natural stuff. They are a bit sterile, but I love a trail centre weekend, just couldnt ride them all the time….good fun but no sense of adventure..

is your saddle too far back/forwards? if you clamp on the part of the rail which isnt perfectly straight they will do this…i had an inline thomson that did it as the seat was a bit far back on the rails…

ourmaninthenorth….big +1 for Kurt Vile… amazing stuff. saw the cave singers a few weeks ago and met the band outside, I asked Peter Quirk what he was listening to and he recommended Kirt Vile. If you havent checked out the cave singers do so, they are awesome.

that electric saw must be pretty gutless to be sold without a chain brake.. you cant even compare that to a half decent petrol saw, definately no good in the long term for logging up..

Surely finding flow, keeping momentum, hitting kickers, bunnyhopping, pumping the bike, unweighting the bike at speed, drop offs, berms, moving your body etc etc etc are the most basic skills you need to cover ground off road at a reasonable pace on a bike? It doesnt take average Joe much time off road to realise this pretty quickly and put this style of riding into practice if left to their own devices…
