I got a dent from someone in a carpark on our car door. This was in the winter, so on a cold morning i poured a kettlefull of boiling water on it and it just popped out! magic. doesnt work as well with really small pointy dents…

No one else will care what brakes youve got or what they look like so providing yours work well, neither should you.

Ive got em too on my ht and they are the best brakes ive ever owned, and most reliable… clean the discs, bleed them and fit some new pads..

bolt thrus definately feel a bit stiffer on stuff you want to just plough through but for an all day ride i actually find a qr fork a bit more forgiving.. (both revs)

I too hated nics, tried them out but they just didnt inspire any confidence for me, currently using conti 2.2 race king at the back and a 2.4 X king on the front, very impressed so far, fast rolling combo with tons of grip on loose stuff up front..

it’s too young for boxing I think.. a relative of mine was an excellent young boxer, but at a pretty young age put another boy in a coma, who is alive but sadly not the same and never will be. His oponent was lying in the ring having some type of seizure when it happened from a quick flurry of punches, pretty distressing stuff..he never boxed again. I did Judo from aged 8 and progressed to black belt not the same thing but much safer i think for kids. Im sure that story isnt representative of most peoples experience of boxing but it can happen…

it doesnt hurt as such, but it gets a bit wearing after a while and can make you feel a bit of a whitey coming on…. dont drink booze beforehand, it doesnt help..

CK, they do list the 1 1/8″ on their site but your right, doesnt seem to be a 1.5 made yet…pretty poo… veedubba, the star nut doesnt load the bearings at all unless your stem isnt tight enough..

tbh i havent used a Gomatro folding one, ive used other brands though. in my experience the non folding/1 peice blade with a handle attached to it flexes less when cutting.. plus its a lot easier for me to just pull one out of a sheath when im up a tree (tree surgeon)..

steer well clear of em, just whack it in the autotrader

a griplok should solve it properly, it eliminates the movement in the top part of the headset as well as anything else

Silky Gomtaro 270 is pretty good all rounder for under 40 quid, dont buy a folding one, they are generally crap. It will rip through 1″ – 2″ stuff but you can cut stuff up to about 6-7 inches, it just might take you a while…buy a decent one its worth it

im sadly a serial acoustic buyer (long term expensive habit)… for dead cheap you wont really beat a yamaha, get a second hand yammy with a solid top for that if you look about

I like this forum, some of the posts are a bit bitchy and people do get a bit of a flap on, and it does seem to go through spells of being a bit miserable on here, but theres always an underlying humour that i think is what makes it work. Despite some people not getting on or disagreeing you have only got to read one of the more serious posts that people put up on here about serious issues in life. Pretty much everyone on this forum will give a considered, supportive and caring answer… i think that speaks volumes about the average singletrack member..
