i really rate those nukeproof plastic pedals ones, awesome for smashing through rock gardens without being thrown over the bars.

they also dont look to bad a year or 3 later as theres no paint to wear off and replaceable pins

29 = bolt on skill for inferior riders?

i mean its not like we struggled with 26″ for how many years, however i may be biased as havent actually riden any of these new 29er specific trails?

i think the cheap chinese lights are good, worst thing thought is most fit onto your bars with an o ring, which is fine if you have straight bars, if they have any curve at all light ends up shining to one side which is rather annoying….

anyone seen these mini chinese lights il call them the mk2 as its alot smaller, still with external battery pack but looked perfect for helmet lights or x2 on the bars. if so post a link up ive been trying to re-find them since i saw them on ebay

dont think ive ever bought a brand spank me new bike so my point is probably not worth much, but im not looking to change from 26″ anytime soon, besides all these new gimics mean i can buy all your ‘old fashioned’ bikes for a bargain, i mean 26″ has been fine for how many years now? maybe mountains are getting taller or something else im missing?

besides who cares as long as your happy with it!

wow some of you guys need to stop playing internet top trumps, did you also mention who would be better off in a accident between scooter/motorbike and car? hmm thought not.

but on a slightly more serious note, i am a believer that an older, mechanical car that can easily reach 200,000+ miles without all the egr cat dpf bollocks has got to be better for the enviroment than some ecobox shit that has to be re-melted down and remade every 4-5 years when you look at total lifespan and and energy used in total, but hey maybe thats too sensible?

i was under the impression its all ok aslong as you dont start chopping trees down, if anyone stops you just play the dumb card, i mean seriously its only going to waste and its eco so the nay sayers can jog on!

    hmmm conflicting options i see…

basically ive just won a ti frame with the option of grabbing ti forks aswell of same seller, i am expecting some flex and am tempted the take the plunge and grab the ti forks aswell, unsure of make perhaps chinease specaials?

cheeky link for anyone who cares – http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genesis-Altitude-Titanium-MTB-Frame-17-5-VGC-/151149293624?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=ws1%252FxbApIjkBb8VRd%252F3CNnT%252BgF8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

if it was purely a weight saving exercise id go for carbon but worried about trashing them the first time i come off..

does anyone know if the 456 carbons would take a long seatpost slammed? i would like a dropper post to fit and judging by the pics on website looks like a tapered seatstay thingy?!
