I thought it was just me… to get the bolt to upload to Strava I opened the Element app, clicked on the history tab and refreshed the page. It takes one or two goes but seems to work. You may have to close and reopen the app.

+1 for Portishead at NYC. A classic.

A long time ago, I had a Rock Shox Psylo (tells you how long ago). I’d never been that impressed with it and whilst at a Mountain Mayhem I was able to get the Rock Shox tech to look at it. He stripped the fork and it was bone dry inside. He sorted it out and it was much better after that. Not saying your fork is the same, but if you’re not happy get them investigated.

Quick update, my back has eased up a heck of a lot since yesterday evening and last night before bed I felt much better. Today I’ve moved and got on with my day and I’m nearly back to normal this evening. I’ve never experienced back ache like this before but will certainly be looking into Yoga, Pilates and other exercise regimes to prevent a reoccurrence.

It still happens, there still is hedge porn. Just not in magazine form. We found this out on our lockdown walk last week

I don’t normally watch this but ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Katie Price is an admin nightmare and I think they’ll end up keeping her as she is good entertainment.

I quite like what he’s done there…. Liked

I’ve not been sitting any more than normal, no major changes to activity levels either. I am moving about as and when I can, pain killers and hot water bottle as necessary…. I certainly won’t be pushing hard if, by some miracle, I can pedal tomorrow.

I shall let you know… I need to be better by tomorrow as I’ve got some new road bike wheels being delivered and I want to fit them then get out for a ride!

@cheekysprocket thank you for taking the time to post that, it’s very much appreciated, you’ve given some great info there. I mentioned the waking up on my front as I never sleep on my front. I shall ride this one out and start and do some work on my core.

It’s not close to the spine, more above the pelvis. I’m going to try and ride it out another day before trying to see the GP, especially given current circumstances. I’m doing everything that @13thfloormonk has suggested. I guess this a waiting game now, I wouldn’t wish this on anyone….

Cheers for posting this up OP, my replacement Radar lens turned up today. Great PSA.

Mrs Beaker has a significant birthday at the end of the week and all my cunning plans were cancelled. I’ve brought her a gift relating to what we were going to do and then made a Gift voucher for what we were going to do, it’ll be cashed in when all this is over. What else can you do?

I’ve got DI2 on my road bike and I’ve had a good play with ETube software and settings via a laptop and cable, I’ve reversed the buttons on my shifters (big button to shift to the lower gears at the back and big ring at the front) and I’ve set up synchro shift which is great. You have to have the correct battery version for synchro shift. There’s plenty of online stuff so you shouldn’t muck it up.

Cheers for that! Replaced a lense on my Radars. The 30% off is great and if you have a discount code they let you use that as well.

My current bike is a 2016 Giant Anthem X29er and my riding is pretty much what I was doing 25 years ago, mostly on the same trails. There is the odd visit to Swinley and Welsh trail centers as well. At no point for the riding that I do have I felt underbiked. I look at ‘modern’ bikes and think I’d be hopelessly over biked. I test rode an Orange Segment about 6 years ago- around the car park of the LBS and it felt awful, all my weight was on the saddle and it was such an upright position. I know the car park isn’t a proper test ride but it put me off totally. I think I’m still stuck in the ’90s….

I’ve already got my N+1. I was going to build it up and ride it for the summer but it seems I won’t be able to for a little bit. I’ve got some nice 90’s parts for it as well….

Would it not be considered a criminal matter? Granted its not arson but surely it is crimal damage? Have you confronted the neigbour?

I broke mine all the way back in ‘97. Healed as a non union with a lovey lump. I’ve been the the hospital twice to look at a break an reset and both times the quack has said it’s best left. The reason being the risk of further damage to the nerves and the risk of making things worse. I have good but not perfect function, I’m not really able to press up on it and sleeping on the side of the break is uncomfortable as well. It’s not perfect but it’ll do, your case may be different- only you can make that call.

I know, I remember going to Bike ‘95 and Bike ‘96 in London and they were awesome shows. I even met Jason Mcroy!

Why bother reading the thread if it offends you? Some people do actually like doing things that others don’t. I’ve got an air rifle, I’m lucky enough to be able to shoot in a large field behind my house with the land owners permission. I’ve no interest in shooting anything but a paper target. For me, I enjoy being able to control and compensate for all the variables that affect accuracy and put a tiny lead pellet on the target. That’s all.

A lot of sport goes back to military history- Javelin, Fencing and Archery are Olympic sports are you bothered by them?

I’ve been to both. I went to Birmingham last year and feel the same as you, extortionate car parking and a mediocre show means I won’t be going back any time soon.
I went to the London show in a couple of years ago and I’ve not felt the urge to go back. Think Birmingham show but in London and you’re not too far off.

I completely agree, a risk certainly. I can’t help but feel you’re in a pickle either way. You don’t cancel and it’s the apocalypse and if you do it’s overreacting.

Get the ICM Foxbat in 1/72 as it’s a cracking kit, but in 1/48 it’s pretty big! I look forward to seeing your Beaufighter

Pre shading with an airbrush and Flory’s dark dirt wash was all I used on both kits. I’d love to build a Wingnut kit but I’d be terrified of cocking it up.

I don’t think you can do much other than what you are doing. Keep at it, she’ll get the message eventually. Beaker Jr pretty much from day one cried having a bath until he was about 18 months. What can you do? Before long she’ll twig that have soggy dirty bits isn’t fun and will asking to be changed….

I’m about 30 mins north of you in south Wilts. If you ever want to get out for a pedal give me a buzz. I’d say road as the MTB isn’t that good around where I live.

My Hermes demanded extra payment (for giving incorrect measurements, which I hadn’t) and wouldn’t deliver until I paid up. The recipient had received the frame before the email arrived though, so I’m not sure if it was a genuine mistake or they were trying to get extra out of me. I won’t use them again though.

I’ve been following these threads with interest, I’ve been looking for good wireless earbuds but can’t face spending lots. I read the link that @gilesey posted and thought that the Tronsmart Spunky Beats was worth a punt. Amazon retailed them £50 but I paid £21 for them last night and got them Primed for today. Have a look here Tronsmart Spunky

I’m really impressed from initial impressions. They sound good, they feel well made and (the case lid is a bit wobbly though) and the sync with video is fine. Not had the chance to see how much listen time you get though. Worth a punt for 20 quid!

My Brother flies for a major airline, I’ve sat in the jump seat as we crossed the Atlantic to the US. The mitigation and effort that goes into ensuring a smooth flight is quite something. Before the flight takes off they plan the route carefully and have regular met updates en route (from a tiny fax machine!). The weather radar on board can detect any poor weather and the other aircraft report turbulence and what altitude to climb or descend to. As my brother says, turbulence in an aircraft is just like a pothole in a car. Please be assured (I appreciate this is major for you and don’t want to dismiss your fears out of hand) your flight will go smoothly and you’ll wonder why it was built up so much before hand.

The card looks authentic, I’ve no real doubt it’s from the DCA and non premium rate number matches. The straight to Debt Collector threw me. I’ve had no letters telling me I owe anyone. Could be that they hope I admit to something. We shall see though, the letter is in the post and I await their reply.

Thanks to all that have taken the time to post a reply. I have written and sent a letter (signed for) stating more or less exactly what @cougar has written above. I’ve a feeling that this is something similar to @monkeyboyjc has had.

I’ve got a letter written asking them to prove it. I’m not calling them. The letter will be sent recoded and we’ll see what happens. It’s not a fun experience though….
