Someone parked in your designated space Thecaptain? 😝

I agree and have seen the decline. In-laws live on the Wirral and the council is steam rollering all opposition to make the peninsular a ‘major golf desination’. A new course, building on green belt for hotels and some incredibly sensitive land which sees use from a lot of the wading birds from the estuary (wintering numbers/species make the area important on European levels). Council it seems are going to make it happen at all costs, despite opposition and evidence of most of the above posts in this thread. Bonkers.

Hey all. Reading this with interest. S’cuze the spam, but I’m on the look out for a genuine t5 rack. Please drop a PM if you have one.

    Cheers!

Chromag used to do odd numbers. I had, until recently a 33t 104bcd. They seem to do just even numbers now. Maybe old stock? Though I’m guessing you are looking for some kind of direct mount fitting rather than 104 BCD? Narrow Wide too?

Too late to edit – how do you find the Race Face Agent, Hob nob??

I’m watching with interest. Always a 3/4 bib over waterproof shorts in winter type with sealskins (on the mtb at least).

Did my research, read reviews, set on the Race Face Agent Pants and now I can’t find a pair anywhere – including across Europe!!! Just when I decided three figures was reasonable for a pair of pants.

Not the wide version but my standard hopes were like cheese.  Full of dings. Not run at silly low pressures either.

I had them on the pro2 hubs too and the free hubs weren’t great.  Disintegrated twice.  Most disappointing Hope purchase ever.

    Hunt?

Not sure about weight, but if u break them or have any issues it’ll be dealt with swiftly and comprehensively. The customer services is truly top notch.

My cure for man flu. Which is topical as I have it.  I guess you could follow the below and just add the noodles at the last minute? I usually double the recipe.

900ml chicken or vegetable stock (or Miso soup mix, sure that will have reached Rammo by now)

1 boneless, skinless chicken breast, about 175g/6oz

1 tsp chopped fresh root ginger

1 garlic clove , finely chopped

    50g rice or wheat noodles

2 tbsp sweetcorn , canned or frozen

    2-3 mushrooms , thinly sliced

    2 spring onions , shredded

2 tsp soy sauce , plus extra for serving

basil leaves and a little shredded chilli (optional but essential if you have sniffles/manflu),

Pour the stock into a pan and add the chicken, ginger and garlic. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat, partly cover and simmer for 20 mins, until the chicken is tender. Remove the chicken and shred it with a couple of forks.

Return the chicken to the stock with the noodles, corn, mushrooms, half the spring onions and the soy sauce. Simmer for 3-4 mins until the noodles are done. Serve adding the leftover bits on top.

    Slurp it up.

We saw Outlaw King being filmed up in the  Cairngorms last year, came round the corner with my then 3 year old girl on the forward facing bike seat, only to see fifty or so horsemen with all the regalia, a few loose horses and all the noise of hooves and shouting.

Little whimper from the front and then TOTAL amazement. Quality!

I had a pervy squeeze too.  They seem longer than standard grips?

Other than that, I’m keeping my eyes on this thread 👍

I’m a fan of Morvelo, but have only their storm shield 3/4 bibs at the moment.  Excellent. Really love the material.

I also have some Howies tights without a pad for over my favourite bib shorts.  The material on these is a bit Marmite.

I then pair the thermal 3/4 under the pad-less tights when it’s reyt cold.

Aye.  A real shame.  They seemed like lovely folk and everything we ate/drank there was ace.

i even left my 5:10s in the car park, drove back to England.  I spoke to them and they arrived in the post 2 days later.  Wouldn’t take a penny off me for the P&P.

I did a kitchen island in laminated birch ply.   Drop me a PM and I’ll dig out the supplier if u fancy. Usually commercial, but happily dealt with me.  Well priced (In comparison), after I shopped around.

Gary Timlin.  Decent chap and according to his website covers Macc (based in Disley).

Spent 10 minutes after a quote explaining airflow in the loft by waving his arms around, in a rave style. Said he thought he was back in the Hacienda for a moment.😁

Had a great service from him.   not sure if he does soffits etc.

That’s what I did.  Though part of me regrets not going to the barn.

    Great service from Biketreks though.

28mm tyres in exactly the same combo.  Went on first time and super easy.  Didn’t have to resort to any tricks – valve cores out, leaving a tube in, strapping the tyre etc.

I’d be looking at stif morf or 650b orange P7.  There was one on the classifieds last week. Geo on both is bang up to date.

ION SAS-Tech kit.  Really impressed with mine.  I’ve removed it easily and will be refitting it.  Pricey but easy to cut to shape as well.

I’ve got some MasonxHunt wheels.  Yes, I could have got the same spec wheel cheaper and also looked at custom options.

Wont go in to specific detail, but when I had a really small issue (like really small), I had a new rear wheel next day delivery, no questions asked/no attitude/just really friendly, above and beyond type stuff.

They are light for the price, IME pretty well built, and backed up with top customer service. If I ever get round to carbon on the road bike, I’ll go back because of the customer service/support.

    Hi there.

Was in the loft the other day and found some brand new unused Mavics I had bought for a transition klunker upgrade a couple of years back.  The klunker sold ages ago so they are surplus.

I destickered the rims when bought, so am unsure of model, but they had the newer branding on the rim. So modern mavic at the cheaper end of the scale.

I’ll try and drop Stif a line and check my order history if you like?

Im in the north west for pick up.

wouldnt want much for them at all to free up some space.

    Apologies if not of interest!

Yes.  It’s maths.  At 1-1 you are always in the game and 2-1 down you are within reach.  No matter who is dominating play.  As United were in 99, at 1-0 down and getting totally dominated.  The difference was having subs like Bale (or Ole/Teddy) to come on and win the game.

    <span style=”font-size: 0.8rem;”>And resources can’t be blamed either.  </span>

I had a pair of rs785 calipers, obvs post mount, the famous leaky ones.  Never had a squeak.

Overhauled due to new frame. New calipers rs805, flat mount, new pads and disks.  Horrid noises aplenty and after about 5 rides noticed black residue on rotors.  Cleaned pads, disks, caliper.  After one ride I’m getting squeels on hard braking.  I’m keeping an eye on it but suspect the new calipers may be leaky too.

Would change to hope but am 140/140mm and the hope flat mount calipers are only 160mm.

    Its driving me nuts.

If ur stuck – have think about after sales support.  I’ve waited ages for mavic spares in the past, especially during/around any French holidays.

Hunt on the other hand have been A1 with service and support.  One occasion, it was absolutely stellar customer service. Above and beyond and the best CS I’ve had in 30 years of buying bikes/parts etc.

The latest ‘biggest slice…’ obviously gives the general riding location beforehand.

Ive had two non Peak locals (riding mates of mine) email me where the singletrack on the ‘Ladybower’ section is.  Fair few threads on here about off piste Peak trails used in ads/videos already.  Such coverage can potentially undo the good work already going on in that area by  people who ride regularly in that area and give up their spare time and give our rep a better name.

And I do appreciate it was snowy and the ground was probably frozen up for most of it.
