As Danmac. Like the self amalgamating tape. I always put a little Vaseline around the seals on the valve after I had similar.

Yep. Chris Porter would be pleased with that 😁

Haven’t clicked the eBay links but I’d be checking the fox tune ID on the can. And having a look which bike it came from and looking at the suspension of that model. Depending on the tune – it could end up being not suited to the bike. Either that, or budget for a revalve/tune.

German VAT? Just bought a helmet from Germany. £125 inc local taxes. Hoping not to get stung for more.

I’m in the middle with this one.

However, Bex is posting stuff on her insta stories which seems to contradict some of the above. There seems to be at least three in the woods. So maybe not two who have met another group. But whatever, I’m more for the whole community not getting grief and setting a good example – which includes local riders doing their bit too.

My frame is only warrantied for a 140 rear. It’s flat mount. I’d have gone down the hope route at least 2 years ago if they made them. The actually do make a 140mm flat mount caliper for XC, but it’s for dot oil. X2 flat mount I think. Nowt that’ll work with my Shimano brifters.

However, noticed Magura are making a flat mount 140mm caliper which could be compatible as it’s for mineral oil. Expensive experiment possibly.

Remember watching the UNICEF game V Boca at OT in early 2000s. It was pretty much a friendly in every sense of the word until Fergie replaced Keane and Veron with Scholes and Butt. All out carnage after that. Scholes went through Tevez, brawl ensued and Tevez went off I think for punching Scholes. Mental.

Dion should go back to calculating rental yields. Either that or look at the players feet. Wasn’t red though. Strange how we are discussing how bad the officials were in the decisions against the saints. Not the Cavani penalty or the lack of extra time to account for that many goals/VAR reviews/subs. The way it was going, it could have meant another goal or two 😝

If you like your design, I can recommend a thermal Stelton vacuum jug. Lots of colours. Classic Scandi design. If we have guests I do a couple of large cafetières and pour into the Stelton which I’ve primed with hot water. The in-laws usually hang around until the early hours and the coffee is still piping hot.

Stelton also do a cafetière which is somewhat insulated. But nothing like the vacuum.

Nice work 👍 don’t leave it so long again! I had a brief hiatus from riding coinciding with my first job and being away from home. It was short but still regret a summer or two wasted!

Nice spot. Not been up Bosley way since, oooh, 1990(?) NEMBA Series. flippin’ eck.

I tried both. Fault was in the box.

    beagle

Ps. I think these are both fairly common faults.

    beagle

I’ve had exactly the same in the past. 2 faults. The first being the cable – borrowed a mates and it worked perfectly. Second was a bit more complicated. I don’t have any electric knowledge at all but managed to sort. There is a flat cable which looks like a rigid bit of tape which joins the dock part to the rest of the unit. It had come dislodged from its slot. I cleaned the connectors and pushed it firmly back. It’s a fiddly job and the smaller your hands, the better. Accessed from the underneath, about 8 screws if I remember correctly. The tape bit comes out from the unit and into a connector on the sticky out dock bit. Hope that makes sense!

Got out Friday in the slop 😝 you can’t teach timing like that. Sounds awesome 👌

Edit. Walking with the kids today. That wind stung a bit up on the tops. Very cold 🥶

Got mine for £16. Squorx, Brass, silver. Have you got your quantities right?

Edit – for 40, ie for one 32 hole rim

Guess yours is for a pair!

In exactly the same situation. I bought some DT Brass Squorx from eBay. “The Spoked Wheel” was the seller. Life is too short to scrimp on stuff like that for a few quid when it is available. It’s not like it’s an easy to swap thing either.

I’ve learnt the hard way with wheels over the last couple of years.

“Urban children” was the phrase that got me. That’s all you need to know.

I’ve had a 1 in 3 disappointment hit rate with sealant named after a bloke:

    Stan’s – awesome
    Joes’s – awesome
    Peaty’s – not so

Wasn’t impressed with the muc off stuff either. Liked the handy trail pouch it came in though. Orange Seal I’ve only tried on the roadie, didn’t like as much as Stan’s/Joe’s.

Give Rick at Slick and Slide suspension a call. He routinely presses in new steerers, replacing creaky units. I’ll bet he has something suitable. Think he is on here – can’t remember his username though.

Yes – Fernandes has undoubtedly had a massive influence. It’s unfair to say it’s all down to him. Pogba, Bailly and Shaw were clearly United’s best players last night. The team is now playing like one who had a pre season with individuals having more consistency. Ole still a bad result from press annihilation and speculation over his job though.

I had similar with Devon and Cornwall Police about 15/16 years ago. I had a bonefide ticket which I was about to pay then I got another, with a black Audi A4 (I had a black A3) with a vaguely similar plate. Kicked off about the second (I was at work in Central London at the time of the ticket). They cancelled them both. Always wondered what gremlins they must have had in the system for me to receive the second!

Stif morf is a great shout. Non boost as is the slightly earlier 2017 orange p7. If you are moving parts over. My 2017 p7 has seen lots of use since September. Loving fun hard tails and nightriding at the moment.

As Davesport. I’d bet, after all what you have done, that it’s the mech. A tired/stretched spring in the mech?

To bring excitement levels up buy some of the plastic rollers. The level of static build up is quite something. Enjoy avoiding touching anything then when you’re about to fall grab onto the steel garage racking and rejoice in the loud CRACK!! When it is discharged. You’ll say words you never realised were in your vocabulary!

    Well. That was an education. Popped into;

    https://www.turnersartshop.co.uk/about-us-14-w.asp

Which is the local(ish) shop for us. Founded in 1895 as a chemists who fixed fountain pens on the side. A real shame it’s closing.

She’ll be a lucky girl as they had 50% off, so I got plenty of quality stuff and an absolute bucket load of friendly helpful advice. I’ll be following up on the classes and book recommendations. We have an award winning Indy bookshop in our local village so I’ll be in there at the weekend to see what they may have.

Again, cheers for all the suggestions – I’ll no doubt be dipping back into this thread and the suggestions made in future. I also think I’ll give things a bash and have a go at drawing myself. Maybe something we can do together 👌

    EDIT – top stuff Johndoh!

Thanks All. Really appreciate those responses 👍 That gives me plenty to go at. Some great suggestions. Going to pop into the local(ish) art shop later. Looks a real emporium. But ‘closing down with a heavy heart’ in the new year. Hopefully get some bits and top up with slightly cheaper, bulk supplies, including some for her wee sis.

I’ve had concerns with some trade persons. Had to go to the local plumbase for some copper fittings to deal with an emergency at home before carpet was being fitted the next day.

Lots of Trade in and out ignoring max 2 customer max signage, not a mask in sight, coffee from the instant machine being drunk with a couple of chaps leaning up on the counter gassing, a full bottle of sanitizer with the pump lid still screwed down. Chap who served me wiped his hands on is nose before passing me my bag of fittings. And it was me who got funny looks for going in with a mask on!

All good and well behaved. Boarder of cheshire east (t2) is a five minute walk away. Popped there – to a farm to get our tree as that’s where we always go. Ride into T2 on my road loop. Not stopping that!

Sensible stuff Mboy. I purchased a 2nd hand older G13 from someone moving to a G1. Popped an EXT On it and it rides really really well. While it is technically ‘outdated’ by the G1 – comparing numbers across the piste in 2020, it’s bang up to date and suits 90% of my riding.

    Enjoy!!

I use my local coffee roaster for decaf now. https://www.kickbackcoffee.co.uk/product-page/still-no-caff

He’s the chap who does the burgtec coffee they send out to the dealers.

Instant decaf – having tried a few of the decent brands – again went local. Nice friendly bunch. Recommend their (2) products!

Do a bit of reading into all the Maxxis permutations. People compare Apples to Oranges on forums often – especially around the different casings and compounds. I have my ups and downs with Maxxis – mostly online from Germany, again comparing specs like for like when checking prices. Was impressed with the Specialized Hillbilly Grid a couple of years back, not so with other tyres from them in recent years, though they have just made some changes.

May give the Cotic one a try. It’s exactly the size/shape I want. Love something custom but £100 ish is a bit hard to swallow!
