Cheers Jam Bo. How long ago was this? Will drop them a line! In the north west but going down that way in the not too distant future…..

Clicked on the thread as I saw this last weekend, and was going to say, no actually, I’ve seen the best. It’s amazing in the flesh (wood!). Stunning.

Getting thrown down tuck shop hill.

Getting ripped for my blazer. Got handed one down but the school had stopped insisting on them. One of two in our year to wear one on first day. Didn’t get worn again!

Hey Mosey. Missed this thread – not sure how as I’ve been off work following collarbone surgery and hammering the internet. Minor stuff in comparison, but frustrating nonetheless.

I’m in Stockport if you ever need an ear, a brew, a beer, a ride or all of the above. Should be riding CX bike in 6 weeks and gentle mtb after. I’ll have lost a lot of fitness and certainly not be racing anywhere. In Bramhall, but grew up round Marple. Most of my local riding is round Mellor/Rowarth or Hayfield.

My respect goes out to you for posting and glad to hear you got out for a razz. Go well for now!

Was going to recommend the oak tree inn. Too late. We always stop off on the way up to the north west and break the journey up. Food and beer good and a nice location to walk out of.

Or perhaps closer to the hills?

Or don’t want to live in those pretentious areas?

Curlew and whimbrel get progressively higher pitched. Have a listen to a few samples. They can differ. What was the habitat?

Edit: how about at 44 seconds on this clip:

My best mate Stevo is a real freak. Aside from being ginger and lacking the coordination to ride a moped in a straight line, he eats very odd combos.

Wagon wheel sandwich and cheese on toast with smarties on top being two favourites in our late teens. He also has copious amounts of ketchup on most things he eats.

I’m sure you know Nudie do free repairs? That said Grim tims are a perfect fit on me but I have a pair with the crotch gone (2% elastane – probably actually jeggings).

Howies (for casual) tend to last me a longer than most.

    Thanks All.

That Croyde property looks amazing but spending for space we wouldn’t use I guess. SJ – will send PM tomorrow if that ok? Thanks very much.

HTS – cheers bud. Much riding done or family hol?

It’s temporarily not my happy place at the moment :-(

After 2 months of putting everything on hold for a drawn out promotion process at work, on Thursday they renegaded on an agreed process and failed me at the last hurdle.

I went to clear my head Friday the only way I know how – on the bike. Going well until I broke my collarbone. Waiting for the surgery to pin it today. Trauma nurse just called and cancelled it today and booked me in for Friday. What a difference a week makes.

Thus, dreaming of things 2 wheeled at the moment is difficult. I know that will pass though. Ever since being 12 or 13, with girls/homework stuff going on, it’s always been a getaway…..

Been on both sides of this a fair few times.

When best man organizing – I had a few people ducking out last minute, questioning the cost of some ferret racing in rural Ireland (!!). Come on lads we get a free pint of Guinness after!! And those who despite answering the usual round robin emails, drop silent when you send anything stag related.

Flip side, when we had just moved house, with zilch disposable income, no holiday for a couple of years, I had a request for a £450 all in trip to Scotland. Felt it wasn’t fair on the other half..

Turns out it was at Drummuir Castle, Diagios home in speyside, all the rare malt you could drink all weekend. I shouldn’t have moaned and I certainly got my money’s worth :-). Not open to the public, but last week they opened a few nights out. £1500 for two days!!

    What mount do you need?

Have a couple in the spares bin you can have. In south mancs.

Yep. Lawn full of cat crap this year and last. Not buried, mostly loose – especially when the lawn mower goes over it. Some of it, if I haven’t found it in time during summer, is crawling with maggots. Not ideal with a two year old playing in the garden.

3 outdoor cats next door, 2 cats two doors up the other way and another two next door to them. Mostly outdoor cats with lazy indoor owners.

We have internal garage and had a couple of dealers – John lewis being one, that we shouldn’t have a condenser in there because of lower temps.

We have no way of venting unless we keep the current vented one near the door which is a pain in the ass – because it gets in the way!!

Follow Bob Mortimer on Twitter – he often has cats names for sale. £8 usually. Sargent Walnuts being my favourite.

    Eg:

New cat names unexpectedly available : Perry Similar : Kenny Carpets, Pat and Ron **** (can’t split), Tracy Everywhere : £8:00 each

Yes. Climbs very well and is a better all rounder than my first generation endorphin. The new 27.5 endo wasn’t around when I bought it, and it would be a pretty hard decision to make now between the two. Climbing and levels of grip are really its strong point. Tech rocky climbs are where it excels. Going down it comes alive in the bigger faster stuff. More tamer stuff the new endo would be more fun I guess and more of an all rounder.

Great support from Knolly and John at shorelines (as above no longer the distributor). I had good service from Chris at Riding High before John took over.

    Carbon version. Coming soon too!!

If you travel south on highway 1. Don’t miss SLO. Meant to stop for lunch. Stayed 3 nights! But that’s not answering your question in true STW style.

Have biked over Golden Gate to Tibouron and got the ferry back a couple of times. One or two bike shops on route for a goosey.

Don’t forget the MTB Hall of Fame is local now too (let’s not have THAT debate again)!

‘Old one’ being the nugget here. My first gen endo was an aquired taste for long climbs due to the seat tube angle. Totally doesn’t feel that way with the later models/newer geo.

My Warden is an absolute beast of a climber for its DH/AM abilities.

Did have one or two quality issues way back before they switched production facilities. I was treated incredibly well with my gen 1 endo which was significantly well out warranty.

    Awesome company to deal with!!

Had a few. Just one at the moment and built up a chilcotin recently for a mate. All been reliable, bombproof and climb really well. Lots of grip. Support was top notch too.

Nothing to look for that you wouldn’t on any other frame.

Shout if you want/need any more info. Cable routing tips/build spec etc.

Aye. Started taking the alternate a couple of times , but completely forgot the signs last time up there. Got half way up and remembered – thought better of turning round – obviously(!!). Chap was in the garden walking towards the path, sheep even got nervous to the right of the house. He didn’t say a word! I was expecting it though.

New Knolly Delirium would be my first choice in ur situ. Or a carbon nomad….

Edit.. Apologies… Clearly didn’t read your question in its entirety! If be looking at an Orange/650b heckler/or searching for one of those dscounted process models.

I’ve never felt a difference. Was chatting about this in 18Bikes earlier. I’d be surprised if there was any difference in a push bike application.

And yes to the diameter thing for hose guides. Fitted a mates Pike and had to file the back of the plastic guide down in order for it to fit a braided hose to the fork. Just made enough of the screw clear the guide at the back so I could actually fit the guide to the fork. He wouldn’t have been impressed with a zippy after splashing out on a brand new fork!

Not for public consumption just yet/only just out across the pond. I had a Delirium T, which was lovely, if a tad over weight for UK use. After a couple of different Knolly models, I’m currently on a warden, which would be a close comparison due to the newer style geo. The new delirium will just be bigger and compatible with a DC fork.

My warden climbs like a goat, the 4×4 system giving loads of grip. Very well built and supported by Knolly. They have been awesome with any queries. Shame that John at Shorelines is no longer distributor as he is a top chap.

What’s the usage for? Where will it be ridden?

Have a look on the mtbr knolly forum.
