I think 2013 is the year you need to take up knitting, on second thoughts those needles would be far to dangerous for someone with you record 😆

Two different sizes for different axle materials larger one for steel axles smaller one for alloy axles, the larger one has the hole for the tool going right through the smaller one doesn’t.

Por 15 por strip from frost auto restoration will strip any coating from any surface, I use it to strip the silver paint off shimano bb cups before I anodize them and that is damn tough paint.

I’ve had this happen with the wippermann connector, cheaper to buy a kmc quicklink which will solve it.

They expect you’ll have your own preferance eg: shimano ect so you wouldn’t want to pay for crank brothers if thats whet they fitted.

Not a myth i’m rumming fsa cranks in a shimano bottom bracket, the fsa omega bb axles are 19mm not 24mm so you need the specific 19mm omega BB.

To be honest the type of bearing is not important on frame pivots as they never complete a full rotation in there lives, i would go with stainless to try and keep rust at bay as long as possible as this is what causes most frame bearings to fail.

Anyone with a tig welder should be able to melt that back together for you.

I got them made so testing them at the moment, if the durability is there i will start selling them, was thinking of a service along the lines of customer sends me there old shimano cups and i will change the bearings and post them back for 22 quid.

And that proves the theory everybody is different, if i spin a higher cadence i build up way more lactic acid than if i push a bigger gear, i’m sure i read somewhere it’s all down to your muscle fibres what you are capable of, more fast twitch fibers suit a faster cadence more slow twitch suit gear pushers.

I hate the fact you have to keep throwing stuff away so i just change the bearings in my shimano XT cups for stainless ceramic hybrid ones and have been great so far.

The only reason to change the bearings in shimano hollowtech cups is for duarbility not drag, drag would be caused by doing the preload nut up to tight or your BB shell hasn’t been faced however the shell would need to be badly out to be noticable, ceramic hybrid bearings would be a bit better.

They do look a bit unforgiving, but still pretty cool outside the box thinking, now all he needs to do is mould a tyre round the outside of it.

Ioflow cranks will be square taper or isospline in either case the bb is a sealed unit bin it a fit new one when knackered.

A friend of mine got cut up by cab a few years back at a roundabout on a club run, cut him up so close that he slapped the side of the cab as it passed dangerously, he caught up with him at the next roundabout and the cab wound down his window and started f’in and blind’ in how bikes shouldn’t be on the road and my friend calmly go out his police warrant card and then took his details and he then lost his cab licence, i know it was probably his livelyhood but that was the best moment of my life.

Spokes are easy to get and are 3-3.50 each and rebuilding that wheel is as easy as any other if not easyer.

Unfortunatly woody has hit the nail on the head, when there are an equal number of participants then there would be no problem but there are far far less women doing the sport.
