my mate had exactly the same problem with his, the axle wears the carbon dropout away until the wheel is so skewed the tyre rubbed on the chainstay, cube weren’t interested in a warrenty claim so he fixed it himself with a carbon repair kit off the web.
why can’t they mount the replacable hanger on the inside then this problem wouldn’t exsist.

Tis a real shame its private, it’s a good big bit of woodland but unfortunately pheasants are more important, gorrick nearly got a race in there until the game keeper stuck his nose in.

Your not doing the bolt up tight enough 56nm will sort it.

I compiled a list of specialized bikes and what bearings last year and I only have the 08 pitch which suggests they all take the same bearings up until 2013 which are 8×6800 2rs and 6×6802 2rs someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Van Nicholas have a write up in their 2014 catalogue about electron beam melting titanium manufacturing, had a picture of a stem they had made with it as well as a jet engine fan blade.

Concept stores are the start of the big brands going direct to public to cut links in the chain and make more money, it will take some years but I think you will see concept store become more common and once there is one in every city and town they will scrap all their independent dealers and run them all themselves taiwan to concept store to public.

I can never understand the waiting time in bike shops, these shops and or mechanics must be a shower if you have two or three week waiting time.

if a spoke snaps on a mavic wheel you shouldn’t just replace one spoke and true it, you should take the tension out of the whole wheel then replace the spoke and then retension and true the the whole wheel.

Don’t hang them if you have high end milled out mavic rims as they machine them so thin it dents them.

Never needed to use an allen key to remove the freehub on any of the fulcrum hubs iv’e taken apart, have you got the axle out if not sometimes the freehub body bearings get stuck to the axle.

As above sram shifters below XO are prone to this problem can’t believe they havn’t sorted the issue yet as it’s been an issue ever since they first started doing triggers.

You need to ask yourself can you afford to be a cycle mechanic, not great pay by any means, I love bikes and cycling but there are a lot of times I wish I had a better paying job, however to answer your question Cytec is becoming a must have in the trade so a good idea to have it although if I was an employer experience would be a far greater asset.

Long spells in direct sunlight can bleach anodize funny colours, know people who keep bikes in conservatories and ruin their anodize.

uneven spoke tension somewhere in the wheel, should never need to use any sort of locking compound on spoke nipples if its built right.
