I bought a pair of Endura Singletrack shorts from Wiggle. Six months later and all the seams on the inside leg were worn out. Sent them back to Wiggle and got a full refund no questions asked. A £65 pair of shorts should last longer than six months.

Kit, I might be up for the earlier start time if you don't mind me tagging along again. I have ordered some P7 lights but no sign of them yet.

I did that playing rugby, very loud pop but must have gone straight back in. The pain got worse over a few days and had to use a sling and take ibuprofen. Took a month or so before I could play rugby again but could still feel it when moving shoulder into certain positions a year later. Never went to the doctor but should have.

    Hope it gets better soon!

how are you all watching this and posting? Is it a case of laptop on the sofa?

My computer is in a different room so I have to take it in shifts, can still hear it though.

Not bad although the audience must feel like a fart in a spacesuit. Tories and Labour are indivisible, Lib Dem are the only ones who have a different vision.

Edit: this debate is all too presidential for my liking though.

Whisky with manuka honey and some fresh ginger grated in. You could swap the whisky for lemon juice but that's less fun. Couple of them a day and you're sorted.

Aye really enjoyed the ride. Great to be able to hit trails like that straight from work. Thanks for showing me some of the routes Kit, going to look at lights so I can stay out later next time!

Give me a shout if you're heading out at a similar time.

Cheers Kit, that sounds good. Will be there for 6pm. Slow pace suits me fine!

sorry, I would have been at Bonaly for 6pm so don't think I'll find much to do for an hour. May be there but don't wait for me.

Anyone got a gpx of the route? Need to explore the Pentlands at some point.

    Cheers

Think I'll head along to Bonaly and meet up there. What time and what street is the shop on?

    Hello

Is this open to anyone? Which shop do you meet at? I finish work around 5pm out near Gyle Centre and can cycle to Currie fairly quickly. Is that anywhere near your route?

    Cheers

Yeah I gave it a go as well but had to turn back fairly early on because of the snow. Still managed a decent ride although mostly on road, lovely day for it.

Anyone still up for heading to the Pentlands? If not are there any decent gps routes someone could send me? Will go and see if it's rideable.

I've got a similar set-up and I run the speakers from the TV's line-out socket meaning that whatever you watch comes through the external speakers. Also switched off the TV speakers as there was a slight overlap.

Greetings A.B. The relocation has gone well, now in a flat in Polwarth just west of the city centre. Not been able to get out on the bike yet but will get to that in the new year. How's the plans for Vancouver going? Been to Epping recently?

George Lamb took a bit of getting used to but I think he's really good now – used to hate him. Plays some brilliant tunes that you can't hear anywhere else other than pirate stations.

Ah well, will Black Squadron still exist at 10am?

Been enjoying Uncharted 2 online recently. Some really good modes and plenty of weapons/skins to unlock to keep you interested.

Never really been a huge first person shooter fan but enjoyed the single player in the first Modern Warfare.

Wipeout HD and the add-on pack, Fury is lots of fun.

Add me to play online, PSN: cmoirs

It could be a problem with cabling inside your house, I've heard that iplate's can help.

I've never used one but I've heard that iPlates can help sort out any problems with phone connections and dramatically speed up connections.

I wouldn't recommend the Endura Singletracks. Very comfortable but all the stitching on the inseam just wore away after a few months resulting in a massive hole. I sent them back to Wiggle for a refund and got a pair of Royal shorts and bought their dhb inners which are very comfortable and cheap.

I just converted my girlfriends laptop to Ubuntu and she loves it compared to XP. Previous boot-up time was about 15 minutes, Ubuntu booted in 90 secs.

The built in web browser is okay, nowhere near Firefox, ie or Opera but good enough for browsing most sites. The link to iPlayer actually just fires up the browser and takes you to the PS3 specific site.

No it's pretty much silent. I've certainly never noticed the fans when watching a film or playing a game.

Loads more info here but I'd say go for it. This looks like a good deal.

The PS3 is very good as a media centre. You can swap out the hard drive for a bigger one no problems, instructions on how to do this come with the machine. If I was, for instance, to download all five series of The Wire onto my computer I can either stream them from the computer to the PS3 (wireless or cabled) or copy them onto the PS3 hard drive so I can watch it without the computer having to be on. Same goes for photos and music. Get the bluetooth remote control for ease of navigation and save having to use the control pad.

Sound output will be as good as your amp/speakers as it now supports lossless audio output when watching a blu-ray movie. Also the latest firmware made the iPlayer a central component and the quality is pretty good as long as your connection is fast enough.

Plus…..it has some awesome games as well.

The Royal shorts are a good bit cheaper at Wiggle – http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Royal_Racing_Rivet_Baggy_Shorts/5360039735/

Just had to return a pair of Endura Singletrack's including the liner as the stitching had completely gone on the inseam. Even though I bought them in January Wiggle refunded the full amount. Looked like a bit of a design fault and I would expect a pair of shorts costing £60 would last more than 9 months.

I was using Maxxis Xenith's for a while. Very fast and surprisingly grippy even in the wet.

It is excellent and very flexible but we had to go for the enterprise licences as we were making maximum use of the API functionality. This made it pretty expensive considering you never actually own it and have to keep paying year after year. No servers or upgrades to worry about though so I was happy.

Another vote for Shaun Keaveny on 6music here. The best advert for getting a digital radio, well him and Adam and Joe.

Don't mind Evans on Radio2 and pretty much anyone would be more listenable than Moyles.
