Have you installed clockworkmod rom manager? I used that and it automated the process to a certain extent. I followed a youtube video on how to flash a Desire S and was successful. I can recommend Cyanogenmod 7.

Hair conditioner worked for me. Does quite a good job of stopping the itch.

Agreed they are very comfortable but they do get slippy. I misjudged a puddle (to the hilarity of my mates) and went over the bars only avoiding a dunking by putting my hand wrist deep in mud. After that my glove wouldn’t grip on the smooth surface the same as the Rogue’s I had on previously.

Other than that though they were very good.

Yep, mine was a Desire S as well. Vodafone had to replace it in the end but the new one works fine.

Check the volume down button isn’t stuck. Mine used to boot into that screen all the time and it was caused by a button problem.

Edit: sorry, I missed the fact you can move around the menu.

Great news about the bus lane cameras, does this mean they are enforcing the ASL’s for cyclists as well?

I tried Mint last night from a DVD to see what all the fuss was about. Looked nice but will stick with Ubuntu 12.04 for a bit. What are the main advantages of Mint?

Could it be region settings on your drive? What are the differences between the ones that work and the ones that don’t?

Do divx files and mp3’s play?

Maybe a DVD drive lens cleaner? Try the DVD’s on another player…..that’s all I can think of right now.

Have you installed the restricted extras? I think you need it to play mp3, dvd etc.

Pedal on Parliament will be a pretty big group ride this weekend – http://pedalonparliament.org/

I’m also doing 10 Under the Ben on 26th May which will be my first event.

Looking forward to this. I’ll be on the feeder ride from Harrison Park.

Hoping it’s all done and dusted in time to get to the pub for Edinburgh v Ulster at 1745 though.

    Both brilliant films.

Can’t wait for Prometheus which may or may not be a prequel to Alien.

I ride one to work and love it. I’d say it’s simpler rather than more complicated.

I went up into the Pentlands for a ride today not realising that this event was on. Nice and dry day so I don’t think that erosion was a major concern but because it was so nice there were lots of walkers and some of the people doing this event were really racing. Surely an event which encourages people to go as fast as possible round shared tracks is unwise?

Most competitors seemed to be enjoying it rather than competing but a few were going too fast and flying past families out walking with kids. Not a great advert for mountain biking.

Andy Robinson is not at ease in front of the camera.

Play acting has no place in rugby and it was embarrassing for Ireland.

I don’t think that sacking Robinson would be the answer. The problems are deeper than that, we just don’t have the players or at least the mentality to win.

Agree, no need to go down. Scotland have disintegrated. We’re better than this.

I think there’s a version of silverlight called moonlight that’s made for Linux.

Might be an option. Failing that get a PS3, Lovefilm is built right in.

You could try using a wifi analyser to see which channels are least congested. You would then change the wifi channel your router is using and the computer should automatically pick it up.

If it’s really bad homeplugs[/url] could be an option. They use your mains wiring to provide a network signal.

Offense is a personal thing therefore you should keep it to yourself. Personally I like what Doug Stanhope had to say on the matter

Does he have anything to compare to the 606 shelving system? I do like a lot of Dieter Rams design. Has Ives ever done anything that isn’t Apple?

My Superstar Kevlar pads have just passed their 2 year birthday. Still plenty of life in them and that includes a lot of on and off-road miles.

When they finally wear out I’ll order some more.

    Ahahahahahah – bunch of fannies.

Fair enough, if you’ve got it you may as well spend it on something.

    Congrats on the bargain.

those are the same ones I use. They have been fine for numerous beers but this ginger beer has ruined about half of them. Will pick up some more soon.
