It might be a bit too far but I’ve always quite fancied giving this a go, might do it before the end of the holidays. There will be more recommendations on the site though.

Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro was a good one I read recently. Much smaller scale than the Iain M Banks space operas but interesting nonetheless.

PS Now might be a better option than PS Plus if all you want is the games.

Just back from a week at Church Stile in the West of Lake District in Nether Wasdale. Great facilities and two pubs very nearby.

Bobby Corridor’s Melancholy Flowers is a classic I keep coming back to.

Also Wolf Diesel Mountain by Buddy Peace.

Fond memories of seeing Hexstatic’s Halloween version of Timber done live at the Big Chill house in 2006.

I enjoy listening to him in the morning. Good tunes and pretty funny.

Only Hobbs and her breathless enthusiasm bugs me. Great station.

it may be the light sensor that’s broken. You can download an app to test how it’s working.

I fixed mine on my phone by using a vacuum cleaner to remove some dust that had got stuck covering the sensor.

New Death Grips album is available here. Maybe even better than No Love Deep Web.

Best of the year for me is between Jon Hopkins, Kurt Vile and Death Grips.

    EP is Cousin Marnie

Scottish living in Edinburgh and, unless something spectacularly bad happens, I’ll be voting Yes in the referendum.

I don’t think anyone denies that Scotland is a country in its own right therefore it should govern its own affairs. Pretty simple really.

You should be able to get a flat share in Costorphine quite easily which would be handy for work. I cycled to Gogarburn from Polwarth/Shandon area which is much closer to town and it only took me 25 minutes along the back roads.

I use 42*17 for getting around Edinburgh and it generally gets me up the hills although I won’t be making any speed records. Suits me though.

I’ve recently started a new job and I’m almost too close now to commute by bike. I used to work about 6 miles from where I live and that was perfect, now I’m 1.5 miles away and miss the commute.

Will have to start doing some laps of Arthur’s Seat to make up for it but it’s not the same. Next step is to move further away from work.

My experience is that Endura make the least durable shorts. I got 6 months use from Singletracks and about 8 from Humvees. I actually got a full refund from wiggle for the singletracks.

Royal, Oakley and so far Scott (for £12!) have made shorts which I have found to last much longer.

As it’s an android phone all your contacts should be backed up to your Google account, if you use one. You can view them in the contacts section of Gmail.

My cousin has got one and it’s been a bit of a nightmare. They seem to work well using fuel from Scandinavia but British fuel seems a bit damp to burn properly. They’re looking to replace with oil.

We’ve got a successful BUG at our work who discuss how facilities can be improved with the building managers. It’s just run via SharePoint. Once a year we have bike shops, CTC, police marking etc as a roadshow and offer to give folk a tour of the facilities.

I’m buddying up with a guy who lives near me to show him a safe cycle route to work.

Now if women preferred men to have smaller nipples then theoretically the smaller they were the more women you would be able to impregnate. Evolution is affected by female preference possibly more than the environment – see Birds of Paradise or Peacocks.

We already have BBC Scotland which creates its own national programs/news while also scheduling the majority from the central organisation. Also we have different requirements e.g. Gaelic programs which would continue.

I don’t see any radical changes happening when it comes to the Beeb. I suppose we would pay money to a Scottish TV Licensing agency instead.
