Both the moxie frame sizes come witha16.5 seat tube the idea being you can run a longr dropper post in it for when you are going downhill.
but the seat angle is pretty steep at 76.5 to really optermize climbing etc.
Im 6.3 and have gone for the longer one but to be fair I could have gone with either as the hardtail I ride now has a reach or 460 and the last couple I’ve tryed have been 470+ with no issues.
So for me it’s about seeing what a really long set up would be like with something like a 35mm stem fitted etc.
Also I loved the look of it in pink lol

27.2 seat post wtf ,old school seattube lengths toptube/reach on all of them so short!!! Only real thing of note is they’ve finally got a head angle on a hardtail that’s finally court up with 2014 ffs.
Nice looking but still very dated by today’s standards. Should sell though as most cubes do

Is it not possible they’ve just forgot to put a spacer in the top as a small one of them would be 3/5mm?

Hay coomber the frames aren’t actually available till early January.
I’ve got a pink on order with DVO forks to, wheels yet to sort out.
DVO forks though are pretty nice fork had a set when they first came out and they where on par with pikes which I also had at the time! The over the top function was great worked very well which was one of the reasons I went for them in the original offer with the extra hundred off so a pretty good deal

Never heard of one but! But make it all with a light fleece on the front and my be some windsropper on the chest and arms to and it would be a perfect.
Sounds like yo need to get on this and crowd fund it lol

I’ve got three mates that ride and have btr’s, one is a total custom full sus which predated the new Pinner and the other’s are ranger’s one the newer one and in the process of being specked and built the other has been on it for over a year and says it really is up there with the hype he’s just won the southern hardtail over all I his age group and he’s done a few of his own kom’s up are local patch on it over his full sus.
Is any custom frame worth a big cost compared to an of the shelf frame big?
From experience myself from another very well known Canadian frame maker no it was terrible and has made me wary. But if I could find a good frame that fit and rode good and I thought it could be copyied and made with better materials by Burf & tam I would do it again as from what I’ve seen there work is excellent.

If nothing else the 8 or so mm drop in bottom bracket height you should notice as it should corner a lot better

Unsure regards the headset situation. But you can go with off set bushing for you rear shock these can give you between 1/1.5 degree slacker and will all so lower the bottom bracket which will not be a bad thing on a bi,e from around 2006 onwards. There’s quit a few places do them but burgtec is a good start point once you know what size you need to replace them.

Yeah I just picked up novembers one with bike of the year in it apart from thinking it was very thin special!
But just turned out it was a normal thin magazine that cost a fiver and was lack luster!
But to be fair they all singletrack included are going that way for me, I kind just buy them for a quick read and to surport them. Gotta say I do miss what MountainBike though!

Shackleton. Yeah I’ve had all three variants of Shan 26.27.5 and 29er. And while I agree about the bottom bracket there one was rubbish!!! if you fit a hope one it is all good and to be fair I’ve not had any issues regards headset even with there own brand one except my be with the original 26 with the mesh grill but good grease and covering it helped there.

Production privee Shan GT. Gotta say of the few 29ers I’ve had and riden this is the closest I’ve found to a great fun bike, I’ll almost go and say it, it’s the closest to a 26inch feeling bike fun wise I’ve had in a few years and that
include’s a few 27.5 hardtail to. I’m running it at 120mm fork but it will go to 140. Not tryed plus size yet but have gone full fat so it does interest a good bit. Kinda looking at that pipe dream moxie that was on the home page. Few weeks ago looks the dogs dangerlys gotta say.

Same here plus one for the vibrio bars. Changed all my bars to them this summer and it deffernatly helps takes the fatigue out of your hands. And that’s coming from someone with ligament problems with there wrist so there grip isn’t great over long days etc.

Why only a 27.5 plus!? Why not the new gen long slacker 29ers?
Not riden a plus bike but I have to say the few new 29ers I’ve riden have been great bikes culminating with a Shan gt which for me literally rides like a 26inch wheeled hardtail very nimble through the single track but quicker on the A2B stuff very impressed.

To much money for what you get with poor water capacity!
    https://www.argos.co.uk/product/6086963
I’ve used one of these and it seems very good for the job twist head gives you different spray patterns and on its max lance pressure you can have it going in your palm and it just tickles! So should be ok for full sus bearings bottom bracketsetc, and also comes with a long and shorter lance so is pretty good for the car boot. Amazon have a better deal on them if you search.
Also you can get a 20lt water carrier for about £10 off eBay so a bit cheaper as a set up and more versertile

I pressed the rubber seal part of valve down with a plastic tyre lever so I could tighten it up proper tight.
    That helped.

Ragley bigwig would be worth A look, long, low and sensibly slack. Pretty good frame and if interested I’m selling my XL one ;) that would be a good fit for you and at a good price due to upgrade

What about BTR they where making long low slack hardtail frames by hand! back in 2013 if not earlier! A good while before everyone else jumped on the band wagon and started to do it for the enduro market and the rest of use to be fair.

Same here if it’s been left from week to week, up or down I have to use the revive to stop it dropping slightly. As everyone else works perfectly afterwards.

650b wise the bird Aries 145 has a reach of 530 ish
29er wise the new transition sentnal is long to 505 reach I believe! Unknown what a full build would come in at though.

Also be worth a wounder down to the crap hole bike shop at the bottom of Heene rd, I’m told he was a major source of buying up stolen bikes a while ago!

If you look at the geometry/top tube sizing on cubes they tend to come up quit short by modern sizing so I bet if you look around you’ll see that by comparison most standard lrg/XL bikes will compare and more than likely be longer.
I wouldn’t look to clos,y at seat tube sizing these day i.e. Your cube being 23inch in size but look more towards top tube and reach numbers as bikes are long and low now for nad clearance etc.

    Ragley big wig
    Production privee Gt.
    Nukeproof scout 29er
    Custom build option, btr ranger
I’ve got the big wig built up 120mm fork, bit heavy but a pretty good bike to ride does it all pretty dame well.
Also got a Shan gt frame here that’s waiting to be built so no comment there. But read the reviews it been well received.

Reverb, fox, ks, pretty much all of them do a 150mm drop set up these days.
bikeyoke, nearest is 160mm but the lower collar/seal is narrower by a good 15mm so it can go lower in the frame.
It also has the revive switch which is great for if the air moves around.

Might be worth contacting D&D cycles in barnham as they have got in some wolf tooth dropper leavers in and there are production privee importers so they might be able to sort out the boostinator wigit if needed.

    batman11

Wolf tooth and production privee do a boostinator thing to take a 142 hub up,to 148 boost. You just need to realign the wheel a bit afterwards there about £30 ish.
Drive train is the easy bit really.
