Funk aster if I could actually figure anything out on what seems to be a backwards move of a web site I’d happily post some pics. Sadly my first ride ended up with me on my face! As I spent all my money on building the bike I didn’t have any left to put a new chain quick link in and it snapped its pin clean off! The bike was unharmed or marked phew lol.
Still lesson learned don’t reuse these quick links well more than twice maybe lol

Rik defo slack as they come but long!? If thats in another country then the pipedream moxie could well be on another planet lol

Really the banshee and shans are both Pretty long In the reach department and bang in the middle regards travel! head angle on all of them is around 66/65.5 degrees. The only other factor to take I to account is seat angle and since I’ve just been Looking my self the last few weeks at the scout and the Shan I know there with In a degree of each other so that will of cause effect you in some form or other, I’m surprised you think there a bit short
Since I’ve been looking at the xl scout and xxl no5 I can also add it’s 5mm in the favour of the scout In reach department and there are both pretty long

    Banshee spitfire,
    Production privee Shan No5,
    Santa Cruz Bronson alloy

Depending on travel of cause. But at a guess I’d say transition smuggler in xl if you can find one.
My yt industry’s jeffsey in xl lol.
Banshee prime or phantom once again if they ever come up
Once agin my yt jeffsey in xl Hahaha

Not dealt with them but first thing I do is see when they joined and activity which it seems you’ve done.
Also if they’ve emailed just put that in google and see what it comes up with or even the user name that works sometimes see if there on other forums.
Or just don’t do it if it doesn’t feel right.

Not riden any of the above. What about the new transition sentinel alloy or carbon

I seem to remember 30mm will work with a 2.8 from some where pretty sure it was one of the reviews on the moxie.
Worth noting that in one of them the writer mentioned that he thought it rode better with 2.6 maxxis tyres than the 2.8 due to tyre fold or something like that

    batman11

Jfb yes mate it’s fully able to take 2.8 tyres as it’s set up for 650b plus think there the max though.
Think I’ll do the same to 29er first off as it’s muddy out and then go for the plus size later.

Why that is a very generous offer there dave I’d probably of just gone for the wristy so twelfty whole pounds extra is a right bonus

Well just got the email saying where on target to receive the frames this month still which is very cool.
Plus wheels are built and tyres got! & 29er wheels I all ready have.
So all in all looking forward to its arrival a lot! Just hope my hands and wrists are mended enough to ride it

I almost got excited then but of cause it’s roadie clothing. Nothing for an ample mountain biker bloke or lass

Got one here. What can I say other than I’ve not riden loads of 29er type frames but of the 5 or so,I’ve riden this is certainly the best all rounder. Got it set up with 120 ohlins forks mainly for the 10mm more xtra reach that gives I’ve got a140mm fork sat here if a fancy trying that at some point.
Ride was I’m pretty fat and unfit at the moment due to injurys, but gotta say it climbs well as you’d hope but descending wise is probably one of the closes things to a 26er I’ve riden in a long time get round, over & though stuff unbelievable well tight twisty stuff is amazing for a clown bike I’ll even go out on a limb and say it’s as good if not better than my 27.5 Shan for stuff like that (South Downs woodland mind) I’ve not riden it in out and out anger due to injurys as I said but for me it’s only short fall is there still quit short in the over all top tube/reach department but then perhaps this is why it gets round stuff so well.

As bigblackshed said the endura overshoes should do the job nicely.

One here to also managed to get a 20lt container of eBay for about £15 from memory for two of them so can usually do a couple of bikes with one of them.

Same as ianc I got the light action one due to tendon issues! Defo nice smooth action and it also is slightly longer to.
Got mine from D&D cycles in Barnham! so worth a call to see if they have any in stock

Steveh to be fair I’ve not really looked at it from that point of view! But yes it will defo dump the bb down pretty low I recon lol.
Luckily I’ve just picked up a great deal on some Easton arc45 rims and had them built on Hope hubs! So I’m going plus size to start with and I also have a set of hope/stans flow 3 29er wheels in the shed that will go on if I fancy trying them. Also I did the original package offer of frame and DVO forks which was good.

Steveh the pipedream isnt available just yet hopefully by end of January though.
But yes you will be able to run 2.4/2.5 tyres easily as it’s made to run plus tyres up to 2.8.
It has sliding drop outs so you can fine tune it for normal, plus 27.5 wheels and also 29ers to.

Yeah it’s a right pain I see next day tyres have the maxterra double down one in but it’s a tad lards weight wise lol.

Same as above used them about 6 times in the last few years and always been spot on item with me within a few days. So hopefully it was just a bit of bad luck.

Dave no sorry it’s staying pink lol.
Wheel wise I got a stupid deal on some Easton arc 45 rims so am going them and pro 4 hubs and we,ll see how the rims go.
Go by there not available till January so there’s only a couple about that are out to the magazines reviewing them so where all waiting with bated breath.

Snow Paul what size frame you, after? As I’m selling my spitfire as I’m not really able to ride well enough at the min due to tendon issues in my arms/wrists.

Bungalistic the Shan gt is 120 to 140 max. It’s the 27.5 Shan that is based around a 150/160mm fork

    batman11

It kinda sounds like it might be a bit long in the front end! So it’s forcing you to be more forward putting pressure on your wrists and shoulders and making you have to look up more, might only be a small amount 5/10mm but that’ll make a big difference. Years ago when them there stems where right out there long I had the same sort of issue, I dropped the stem back first 10mm then 20mm, to a Staggering 80mm from a 100 and it sorted it for me.
So my be look at getting a slightly shorter stem

    batman11

Yes they do. Been suffering with tendinitis in both wrists all this year and I can say for certain that they have made a difference when I have been out riding. Most notably when I rode them at bpw only had to stop as my hand strength was going as apossed to my wrists.

Basically yes mate. The one in the link fox do one ks as well to.
    Ok bats.

Why not have a look at the blueflow wheels with carbon rims and hope hubs? Weight is comparable at around 1800grams for 29er wheels but you should get the benefits of carbon stiffness for acceleration but with some flex/forgiveness while going downhill. Reviews are good and with prices being between £680/780 depending on spoke choice.

    batman11

Luckily I’ve got a set of 29er pro4 hubs on stans flow3 rims in the shed so I can try both options if I fell like.
I’ve had fat bikes so I’m thinking it should be an ok option.
I’m gonna put 2.8 tyres on it like the main picture so it should be good.
I’m leaning towards the blueflow carbon options to try as they seem reasonably good value with hope hubs and by the time I’ve got rims and hope hubs built up on to dtswiss spokes it will really only be around £150/180more for a carbon rim option to try out and they get great reviews so we’ll see.

Nicolaisam me to just hope we don’t get any delays on the frames.
My other issues is which wheels to go for as I want to go with the plus option. Spank or my be a carbon/hope set up decisions, decisions lol

I Think we just mean it can take a 170 dropper.
It is deigned to take 27.5,27.5 plus so 2.4 to 2.8 tyres and 29er wheels hence the adjustable drop out system so you can tune it around the rear wheels etc.
