Hi mate if it's a new type heckler it's 8.5×2.5 shox Personal i would go for the rcs springs there way better than say nukeproof on weight etc and go direct to mojo they will look after you with all things fox ok.

Think im going to agree with some opinions here the difference betwen a 120/140 is only going to be minimal. I think im a beliver in a do it all bike my case a heckler and a hardtail or some such play bike, in my case just to let me know what it was like when i started this hobby back in the 90's. (New BeFe order'd this week for just such a reminder lol.)
Think you should stick with the 140 bike for everything and get a nice hardtail play bike for the rest razzing, D?H etc just to get your skills dialed.
Other than that just ride you can only ride one bike at a time after all!

Have one on my shoulder was ok was a bit leaner then though just scratchy.
Think it depends where ribs=pain under the arm= pain bu most areas are just uncomfortable plus it does depend on how big it is etc.
Im gonna go back soon for one on my calf just trying to find a good place near me.

Hi mate if it's the newer style frame the shox size is 200x50mm if that helps any.
Unsure as to your question though but i would not have thought so.
Why not just get it sorted by tftuned or mojo?.

Mate if you can go a bit more buck look out for a deal on a santa cruz heckler on here and ebay. Jack of all trades and one of the guys who rides in are group is a downhill himself and he swears it's like a mini downhill bike on the trails.
There popping up for around 1500 for a faily good build but make sure it's a 07 on wards with the new geo and back end ok Buddy.

Hi mate ive got all my chris king stuff from here even with import tax it's in and around what your local bike store buys there stuff in at before putting there mark up on.

    http://www.aspirevelotech.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc

This works well with the exchange rate so do check it first.
Think it's coming out at around 85.00 for a standard head set.
can be worth waiting and keeping an eye on the rate i got a ti headset 2 years ago for £133 and there over 200 here and they use paypal too.
    Cheers Bat.

    Hi guys just mt thoughts.
Well i had a ti frame (dekerf implant) great bike shame about the makers and there finishing details(another story). Now im riding a steel frame there really is no comparision ti all the way the ping you get of a ti frame on the down hills and the speed you can carry is crazy!! But next time it would be made to measure and in this country gonna take so chances looking into geometry, toptube length etc and 140mm travel but gonna be done all the same. been looking at these guys in east sussex http://www.enigmabikes.com/ego.html looking at the web site it is around an extra £125 in the steel frame anyway for a custome frame and i believe they build there frames on site now too.

Well having just read this months dirt mag there is a suggestion that someone is making a 11/36 cassette at the moment and with various companys making front double systems already or even runnig a single set up which is where the artical in dirt was going ie a 36 front aligned to a 11/36 rear should give you a pretty good range for even the hardest hills or so they recon. As for everything else well it's only an evolution of what already is out there with minor weight savings or not in some case's.

Hi mate yeah had one since late summer on my hard tail!
It's a great piece of kit not light but easy to fit and easy to use loads of clearence. Think the only complaint is some drag in over drive but not noticable in pedaling just something your awhere of while using it.
Think other than that having to get your b/b face'd is the only problem while getting it fitted as most bike shops don't have the tooling for this.
Anymore questions ask away and i will do my best to answer them.

Yep 18 stone and ive got both a santa cruz superlight and new heckler both take the abuse well plus only the two bearings to kill at most.
as for shock im running both air but will get a coil for going up wales etc for the heckler but having said that i took the s/l there for 3 hard day and it took it all in it's stride only victim was the rock shox rev with an oil leak by day three but all in great bikes to have and to own.
