Pretty much what bigdrew said but to be fair I’m a big unit so not quick up hills so I didn’t notice any difference to speak of. But then the fun stuff the five was a much different machine quick and stable and the cornering was head and shoulders better. This of cause was for me

If it was me I’d look at going with off set bushes to slacken it a degree or so found on my 2012 one it made a world of difference to my five.

At the end of the day of your happy it looking used no! but if your looking to keep it smart and help keep the resale value up a bit on its a good product.
Just had my ltd colour one sent off and done to keep it in good condition but then it’s one of 500 world wide so for me it was worth it.
In the main though I use helitape on the top and downtime just to minimise scuffs from legs and stuff flying up.

Did my cane creak one a few months ago. Front is 25.4 x8mmand rear is 40x8mm, Tftuned for them about £35 approx.
if it is cane creak the mounts are just a good pilling with grips. Its the bushing that can be a pig tf again for the tool to bash it out with

Yeah should be ok. My buddy who is about 6.0ft has riden mine and that was with a 40mm stem and he found it fine.
Seat tube wise also should be ok toptubes ars the same height across the sizes which is nice and low.
You going to get it local or ordering from D&D cycles? If it’s them it would be worth getting them to supply and fit the invisiframe kit as they where the ones to sort them out and my XL was the template

Shan 917 here 6.3 and size xl 650b version too. Got a buddy with a 26inch version and is 5.9 on a medium.
Point of reference these day it’s well worth checking the reach measurement as that seems to be more important for today’s frame fit. Where you based?

As I’ve no computer I’m kinda stuck with just phone and iPad based connective products.
Use wise I’ve spent the last 12 months getting myself back together after a few bad years at a bad job, now work is sorted and I’ve been riding at least twice a week with a few trips to Wales etc I want to start pushing my fitness/ weight loss goals more.
    and as I’m old

Nope good solid wheel, reasonable weight stiff enough and I’m a big chap too.
Only really reason I changed them was I got a unmissable deal on some hope enduro wheels from my lbs and I’m a serial frame m
I’ve got mine sat here if you want a cheep set in good condition.

It might be worth selling your fork off! It would certainly open up your options for a more 120/140mm travel frame.
There are good deals on revelations/sektors/fox second hand in this travel range.
And then a trail frame to suit.

Impacts will last longer 18 months use so far , vxi’s lasted me 6 months before I tore holes in the M6 rubber sole and it came away from the base area! Now back on the impacts.
Fairly sure there is other mentions of poor life with the newer vxi out there.

The big grass hill opposite queen Elizabeth country park near Portsmouth in 98, my cat eye computer clocked it at 53.4 mph even allowing ruffle – 10/15% it’s about 45/48 mph and that was on an old school orange P7 with pace rc36 forks.
No way I’d do that now 8O

Just wondering why a headset and not shox bushs?
Burtec number 7002 will give you about 1.5deg slacker head angle and approx 10mm low bottom bracket.
When I did mine it was a different machine rode much better.

Grant at south coast suspension is worth a call.
He’s the ks seat post official centre for the uk so deals with jungle all the time so probably uses original parts.

Banshee rune has to be worth a look same head angle in slack mode(adjustable to 65.5 and 66)and a lot cheaper new.
Only thing I’ve got to say is it is stupid quick for my old bones it’s like I’m at the trail obstical and my heads 3seconds behind it. But it is bloody good fun :-)

My buddy did both on his 09 heckler similar angles to your start point and he got 2.5 deg out of it down to 67. Made it ride so much better he reckoned certainly brought it up todate angles wise, so much so he’s now pulled the plug and bought a new bike lol.

First consideration is of cause the party’s you have to swap over. I take it your fork is either 100 or 120mm in travel?
If so that gets rid of the 575 and possibly the asr as it would need a longer fork.
The super light and blur are good options.

As long as it’s a 30.9 seat post size go for it. At least as when you do sell your frame/bike of the seat tubes is bigger you can buy shims to fit.

Gotta agree think the new m16 sole is not jurable. I’d chewed holes in mine in about 3 months. Mind you burgtec pedals are aggressive

If a blur 4x. Is what you want! Why not look at TRC or A then same geometry just a tad more room in the TT?

    batman11

Off set bushes from burgtec is my thought, depending on bushing sizes you could drop 1/1.5 degrees and drop your bottom bracket height by around 8/10mm for £40. Cheep tool of eBay £10 ish and about 30/45 minutes to fit.
Did it on my orange five was a marked improvement.
