    I'm in.
If I could shed a couple of stone before the Strathpuffer it'd be handy 😀

That'll make things even more interesting! This is our first 'puffer.
I've not managed to get out on my bike for the last 2 months! The wife's starting to make noises about not being too keen and one of the other team members has previous for midnight hour call offs at the best of times!
Suffice to say we're not aiming for a win 😀
What's the script with the night before? The email say's there's a B&B. We're tenting it (camper fell through 🙁 )are we as well in the B&B or would we miss out on most of the social side?

    Cheers

    Paul.

I'll be visiting old people who are burning their turkeys 😀

Does it need to be a googlemail account? There's nothing to my BT account as yet.
If so I've just created one paulgrant54 at googlemail dot com.

With an attitude such as that ti_pin_man I'd be surprised if you'll be selling to anyone else on here.
    A poor show indeed.

Other than the odd run to do the shopping, fa-a-a-ar too long given that the 'puffer isn't that far away now!

To have fallen at that spot and not been killed is amazing! We do our swift water rescue training up at the Hermitage but don't go anywhere near that area as it's a bit mental. Sounds like an interesting job. I'll have to make a few calls and find out how it really went… me cynical? Never! 😉

    As per this thread:
    http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/photos-transferred-to-canvas
I cannot recommend the company I used highly enough. I've given the details to a couple of friends who also decided to use them and we've all been delighted with the service and results.

My wife has talked about these and I'll be getting her a pair for Christmas.
I've looked at many websites and also have family in NZ that could send a pair over but I think for peace of mind I'll just buy from a store and haggle a deal on a pair of UGG Australia (US owned, made in China) boots.

I'm wondering the same but I can get the frame sprayed professionally and baked in a booth. From what I can gather the powder in more durable.

Do you think it's worth moaning to Giant about the situation and aim for some freebies (carbon stem and/or bars) or do you think they'll just tell me to **** off?
Why the Giant? Well, I've not liked Giant bikes up until now but for the price (limited to £1k via cyclescheme) she didn't see or try anything better. It'll be used as a commuter and general fitness work.
I feel for the dealer (Escape Route) as they've been made to look silly after the initial excellent customer service. It's a shame Giant have let everyone down.

No? Just us then? I was under the impression that it was common issue at the mo.

    15-22% ?
The Cyclescheme website still states 5%.
I'm interested in any changes as I'm looking to take on the organisation of the scheme at my work.

There are some who like to savour the thought that the forum they frequent is the most unwelcoming, witty, sarcastic, all knowing forum ever and you have to be so very mentally tough to survive in the realms of frequent posters.
In truth, this place is like most other internet forums. Plenty banter, individuals sharing a common interest, a couple of users who like to think that they are the forum as they spend most of their time trying to be more sarcastic than anyone else and they end up with a small group of hangers-on who post up 'where is ******' if they don't post for a couple of days. Oh, and then they go and change their user name and their merry band gleefully let the rest of the community know that they've figured it out.
It's all very entertaining if not a little sad. 😀
Can't say I've ever found this place that intimidating. Yes, there are always those who seem to take delight in ripping in to newbies but if that's their way then it's up to the rest of us to offset that with reasonable behavior and not follow on blindly.
I like it on here and hope that others that reg. will also get the chance to benefit from it as I have. As for giving them an 'L' so as the bully boys give them a bit breathing space and concentrate their efforts on those that put up with their carp in the first instance……

    My one broke too.

So I bought a Park PCS10. It's true what they say. Buy cheap, buy twice.
I gave the broken one to my make and he threw a couple of pop rivets in it and it seems to work away reasonably.

The pivot pin fill out 1/4 of the way round the Red @ Glentress.
I rode the rest of the day with a keyring helping me to stop my bike.

Still, I got what I needed and saved with the group buy. Can't feel too hard done to.

So it is possible to base yourself in a campervan there? I've been told there was little point in taking a campervan as I'd get nowhere near main area??

I tried to watch this tonight but the DVD player refused to play it which led me to lose my temper, throw the remote breaking it and then the wife went in the huff.
    Great night!….

You simply cant beat keyboard and mouse for aiming.

TBH I've never played such games on a PC before but I have COD on the Wii and the use of the gun thingy is really effective.

…And yes, I know the Wii is for kids, the graphics are too cartoon, etc, etc…

There were only 3 of us left in the latter stages with others having got rid of their attempts due to weddings, holidays, nights out etc.
There was a bit of 'tache envy going on though!

Up until I had it I'd never met any of my wife's work colleagues and low and behold, we couldn't go anywhere without bumping in to someone. I was always introduced by "this is my husband, Paul." but there was always the addition of "He doesn't always look this stupid" 😀

We did this 6 months or so ago at work mainly for a laugh but it had the added bonus of irritating some of the senior officers.
I couldn't have it too long or bushy as I had to have it measured with template to ensure it didn't interfere with the seal on my BA facemask!…

One night in particular there were 4 of us jumped out of the fire engine sporting our 'tashes. It was like a YMCA music video 😀

For a non fault accident these guys are excellent:

We've had the misfortune to have to use them twice and their service is second to none. It also speeds up the other insurance company's actions.

    I need some bits too.
