Davo – good question! The novelty has certainly worn off but I am hoping that the performance of them will outweigh the downsides, and there won’t be many dog walkers getting in the way!

Yes they are the trs+ and very good too so far. Really stiff and set up tubeless very easily. The only thing I would say is that they are LOUD, a lot louder than my Hope pro 2. Not cheap though although I managed to snap them up when CRc had them 30% off for a few days!

Not sure if people Here are referring to the 2012 model? A seat tube angle of 73.5 and 6.5lb with shock sounds pretty good to me. The guys posting on MTBR don’t seem to be having a problem with climbing. I’ve certainly got my eye on one for my next trail bike!

I bought a reverb from them last year, they had the 2012 version before most others did and it ended up coming earlier than their website had indicated so full marks from me!

Cheers, have you tried a 34 or 36 on the Five?

Godzilla, that does look pretty good! They don’t seem to do black on the website though? Out of interest what size rings are you running?

The new xt and slx versions are up on the Madison website at £80 and £65 (I think that was right) but not sure when they will be available.

So is an alloy Blur TR in the offing or is that just wishful thinking?

    Try http://www.verbierapartments.net

These are two of the cheapest apartments you will find. Quite small but very central next to the main lifts. Each sleeps 4 people. You will need to email them for summer rates and they will do shorter than a week if they have availability.

Just fitted one (well the lbs did) on a new XT 38/26 2×10 and it works like a dream, don’t even notice it and can’t hear it either. Definitely recommended.

I’ve just got some Arch’s on Hope hubs from Merlin for my 456 Ti and they seem to be just great. Have gone tubeless with the usual yellow Stans tape and some sealant with no problems. The Crests seem to be limited to 80/85kg and the Flows are a bit heavier so I think they are a good compromise for something that can take a bit of abuse but still be pretty light. They seem to be much more popular for 29ers for some reason.
