Chinley churn only just dried out in the summer! Macc loop is great atm – wet but hardly muddy.

I’m in a similar dilemma but every time i take the covert out i’m laughing but it is a big bike if you know what i mean.

Know a few folk who have got SB66’s and they’ve all said it’s the best bike they’ve ever owned!

Yep I ride the peaks and 150mm means I ride them with more confidence.

Banks if I remember right you ride a covert? Does the same statement apply?

Yep, never really needed tbh and if i was given a fresh slate i’d be building something around 130/140 mm.

Made the mistake of demo’ing a few other/smaller travel bikes and i reckon (all in my imo of course) i got far more out of the bike/riding along as it was lighter and less point and squirt.

Wouldn’t worry, should a few 1000 miles left before a service. Popping the freehub off and giving it a little clean is worth doing often imo

When its quiet start worrying. I run mine with just a little lube in there, use to pack it with grease but it just attracted shite

Went from a Remedy to Covert moving most of the bits over.

Remedy is more stable at speed, sucked everything up and felt like it had endless travel. Great bike but demo’d a covert which is an awesome bike in a different way, makes the boring trails feel fun again, kinda let’s you know what’s going on etc etc – bought a frame the next day : )

It’s a bike which eggs you on is the only way i can some it up..
