Every year, I think I’d like to take up climbing, seems like a good complement to cycling. Then, I remember how terrible I am with heights, and so I go back to playing Civilisation.

Bouldering, all the best bits about climbing without death.

Hope tech here too, moved the bite point right close, made braking to easy now it requires no thought it just happens.

even the rowing machine in the shed is more fun..
Like to see you get to work on it.

Judging by this weather, it’ll be good practice

Problems with XTR cranks – 50quid removal tool/tiny plastic lock ring/stupid spaces for granny ring.

2.4 UST RQ’s finally a tyre which doesn’t crumble, long lasting & grips like the proverbial.

Hope M4’s & Shimano deore brakes & replacing everything sram with shimano.

Pipes & shit – can’t beat washing me bike from the hot water tap!

    Worst – XTR cranks

Love them, but now for the money I’d just stick 140/180 Talas on a mega

Might be a good idea to close the door mate & put some wood on top

I’ll try & get a pic of ours up – Norfolk terrier cross with a boarder terrier. Mental, but prefect quite happy to go all day & night but just as happy having a lazy day. Hates the rain & the heat.

Best coach I’ve ever had, picks all the best lines

Docrobster – grim but does put things in perspective a bit! Get pissed with him, might have some stories or office antics

Macc forest is the go to ride in biblical weather, you’d be very lost to come across proper mud.

always suffered pedals strikes on the past few bikes, just something to get used too. If you’ve got a bandit surely get a covert!! Welcome to demo mine…

But just make sure it’s got mounts for pontoons

Another marple mincer here but on a covert. Just ride what ever bike puts a grin on your face/worth pedaling to the top, it’s not an xc race

    I’ve gone from a patriot/remedy/covert.

Only had the covert a few months and not been riding it as much as i’d like but it inspires lunacy, not as plush as the remedy so you know when you take lazy lines & make mistakes – far better to hit at speed and hope for the best 😀

How’s the covert with a CCDBair? Miss the pro-pedal of the rp23 at all?

Covert up close is a thing of beauty. Also, all the bearings are larger on the covert whereas the EG ones a tiny. Of the top of my head mind, probs better to ask OO for the bearings codes

Covert, spent a few months making the decision but I think what ever you get isn’t going to be a let down

    Where are you based?

The EG does look like a shitting dog

That’s why i don’t run avid brakes anymore, run both shimano & hope but replacing calipers/levers soon adds up.

Similar tale to me, lazy attempt to reset the pistons on me m4 caliper & ended up bursting all the seals. Phoned to explain I haven’t really bothered to look after them, cba watching the hopetech vids.

2days later front brake is back with me, all new seals, pistons, pads & a pack containing spare 8 spare seals & a print out of the video 🙂

Only cost me 2.50 to post

Oh and they upgraded the hose too!

I’ve not been out since the frost, everywhere local to me – peaks/macc etc is a swamp. Even our jump spot has collapsed now 🙁

Underneath all the scaffold, looks like they have loads of sports powder crap and muc off stuff for half-price, making it almost good value.

Good to hear the lad behind the counter is going to better places.

Now – what will happen to shop now, odds on for another cake or furniture shop cos marple is short of those 😕

Real shame bcos the young lad behind the counter has probably lost his job otherwise thank ****. Absolute crock of shit shop, good for stem spacers & chainring bolts, nothing else. Curly behind the counter had never come across powerlinks or disk brakes.

P.s everyone should use sett valley cycles or freeride cycles 😀
