I went for a covert for exact reasons above, some very good deals going on older frames & I know of a dmr bolt for sale – email in profile

I’m middle aged. What fit me 5 years ago won’t fit me today. What will fit me today probably won’t fit me in 5 years from now. Comfort trumps longevity here.

Havn’t worn mine since xmas – 1.4stone heavier!

Selvedge denim. What a complete and utter waste of money. Stuff, heavy and uncomfortable. And a bugger to wash. A totally inferior product to modern fabrics. Yet somehow, because the Japanese have started resurrecting it’s manufacture (ever wondered why it stopped being made in the first place?), and slapping ridiculous price tags on it, deluded fools the the west think it’s the coolest thing ever.

I have a pair of selvedge jeans. I tried washing them after a reasonable period, and they look shit. And they’ve never really been comfortable. I’m an idiot for buying them.

I don’t buy Superdry ‘Japan’ clothing though, so at least I’m not a complete idiot.

I love them bcos they last for years but your right i’ll stick to me trackies, dead easy to wash and not stuff… 😀

Nearing 2 years now, I don’t dribble or piss myself so no need to wash them 🙂

Got a Norfolk terrier here, mental dog but very happy to have lazy days in bed & short walks but also 6hr epics on kinder. Struggles in the heat though, refuses to go when its raining & god forbid if you try & wash his bed. Hates early mornings. Not really into other dogs except friendly JTs & BTs.

When me grans he refuses to leave her side knowing he’ll get half of her meal.
Also, the only dog I’ve known to leave food in his bowl, he eats at tea time o_0

I’ll stick some pics up when I’m not supposed to be working

Finally got ride of anything sram, for the best really.

Zee shifter cheap, properly sealed, action is spot of, would pay x2 the asking price tbh, seems to be very well made should be around for a while.

Clutch is ace, It’s just that I’d like a little less sag but with clutch on – silence, no slap even on really stupid rocky stuff. Without clutch it was a nightmare.

No idea with triple/double but I’ve got the 11-36 Zee RD with 11-36 cassette (natch) find there’s too much chain in small & too little chain in big, I imagine x2 would be a struggle

Also rose bikes – far cheaper but took 3days to arrive

If it makes any sense it doesn’t feel/ride heavy – covert here built pretty heavy but I find it so much more easier going than the previous remedy which I had before which was a lot lighter

Aye hope are ace, as is mongleton cycle centre! One seal failed on my m4 caliper – came back 2days later all new seals, pistons, pads & hose even though I’d lost my receipt & they were out of warranty. Same with cracked freehub & axle.

Exactly the same issue with mine, 3rd ride out today suddenly started feeling really stiff then i snapped the chain – turns out the bottom jockey wheel had seized solid ffs

Never had a problem with Fox myself, turns out they are the most reliable forks among our (lazy) lot, keep the seals well-lubed & clean

Just done that route today but started at the sportsman in hayfield, go somewhere else unless there’s a big thaw

Took us 5 to push 9 miles for 20mins dh. Still a lot of snow around with 1/2 to 1ft ruts cut into them otherwise it ice. Ice was alright though as we just broke through it.

Mainly it was 1ft snow in 70% of places pitted with footprints & my face

Rush up edge dh rideable but limited line choice
Hayfield campsie dh – sweet! Just perfect, just look out for bloody blind walkers

Still a right good fun though & I’d upload a few pics when my hands warm up again

This is my keeper book, proper laugh until cry book. Cannot recommend it enough.

True, it is amazing in the dry, one of the best! Could try the snake pass path instead? Just don’t hit any sheep..
