I found that on the back-country pyrenees tour the trails were just like UK stuff – lakes, peaks, whales etc on steroids – just longer, faster, looser with switchbacks thrown in!

Echo what others said. Doug/Basque mtb has set the bar very high for riding holidays imo – just hope he’s got some better cd’s in the van than what i had to put up with 😀

Refreshing to ride with someone who seems restless and admits there’s more to found, usually i get ‘my trails are mint, everywhere else is shit..’

    Foods pretty good too

Eh? Do you think they have special Fox-friendly mud at trail centres or something?

Both sets of Talas forks I’ve had (32mm but same basic tech) have worked fine at both settings after years of trail centres and real-world riding. Sounds like there’s something wrong with yours OP, I’d get them looked at again.

Lazy post. They were awesome in a trail centre style setting i.e smoother ground, bigger transitions between hits etc whereas natural trails with constant mid-range hits they would dive throughout their travel and other shit.

anyway convert them into floats – awesome!

Not buggered I’d say. Same problems with mine – talas are awesome trail centre forks but rubbish out in natural style trials. Fwiw loco – conversion into floats. Awesome forks

heh heh, I’m a big (& long-time) Cocteaus fan – am I allowed to enjoy other stuff too?

ha, yes of course but as long as it’s good but that was terrible, kind of music you’d hear in topman. Not often i’ll turn music off and this is coming from the guy who’s listened to Space – Magic fly over 600 times

The buyer is aware that the gear levers can be moved independently from the brake lever and they can be spaced differently to how the magazines show i.e. brake inboard and gear outboard (or vice versa)???

    Probably not..

Love mine. Despite its weight it rides very light… Whatever it means.

I’ve not been out on the bmx or jump bike since getting it either.

Could try mine out for size if you want, providing your not a midget or fat fcuker

Could bang on about it all day but its just fun, make every bit of trail fun again.

Cutgate is spot on. There’s a few puddles & 3 big puddles. Yes I counted as I went otb 3 times. Otherwise its running the best I’ve ever known

Just get fitter. Get a decent build which will hold up to regular rides in the peaks and a bike which makes who want to ride anytime any day.

Oh and as much shimano kit as possible.
