Good going! My old man had something similar but took months & months – the only thing which kept him going was riding the bike with dog to the pub 😀

Nope, leave them in their new positions and shove the wheel back in, sometimes they rub a little but only briefly. If done right you’ll have to play around with the lever adjust

    That’s exactly it!

Just pop the wheels out and pump the lever a few times, maybe more until it looks like the pads/pistons are sitting further out then before, brake should feel shit hot afterwards to best to try before trying to stop, it will hurt.

I was forever bleeding, topping up & draining fluid until this little trick was revealed.

    No need to bleed.

Drop the wheels out & pump the levers, maybe a few times maybe many times.

Only do it until the pistons & pads sit slightly further out than previous.

I ride with a guy who’s well over twice my age – he’s showing no sign of slowing down, i think so anyway because i can’t keep up with him!

Lace up those 5:10s and get to Antur Stiniog 😀

Working in the kitchen after a stupidly hot day and busy service, put chilli’s in with the sudocrem, sudocrem is used to sooth chef’s arse…

I’ve found it much better without any glasses/goggles & using both a mucky nuts thing and a flappy mudguard – do struggle on stupid gritty rides mind.

Cheers. Liking Blaengarw mainly because of the name but it’s short & looks good too. Especially as i’ll be tired from sleep the whole journey down 🙂

I have the issue but with toric lenses! Tried both goggles & glasses and the wind seems to lift the lenses away, In the end – heli-tape over the vents but still found problems and bizarrely riding with just contacts I’ve had no problems : /

@jonothan. What’s worrying me, only really ‘proper’ riders who be up there – so one of us really… although it seems that this guy is on his own..

+1 Ben Cooper, works a treat. Also, possible to do the other stem bolt up tight or tighter than the rounded one?zee

The usual roll call of mtb’ers today is worryingly quiet 🙁

Try a new cable :s mine wasn’t slow to shift per say but it was harder to shift but a proper click then clunk. Got a SLX mech on now which is silky smooth.

Serious answer – large cotic bfe – 140mm. Mate has gone from being round to a twig. Still on the same bike just millions times faster now

Teach adults with severe autism to swim, eventually ending up in the sea so it can be done, easily in fact. Is your wife not up for helping you? Stand/kneel in the shallow end practice the arms until you’ve got it nailed, breast stroke not doggy paddle, its all you’ll ever need.

Is there a pool with a decent pub nearby, treat yourself afterwards so scaring yourself shitless

Reckon the whole 26″ is dead is bollocks, maybe the ust baron just isn’t meant to be, I’ll stick with ust rubber queens for now.

Had a 1.4 petrol for a while. Cheap to run, insurure & repair – starter motor & ignition barrel went on mine. Strangely when I put it up for sale I was bombarded with offers – almost 80 emails in a few hours. In the end some old chap sent me 200 quid to take the car off auto trader without seeing it, came round the next morning from the other end of the country with two mechanics & bought it straight away… Must be doing something right

Have you seen the 2.4 Der Kaisers : ) may have to make do with them. Like you I’ve been waiting a while but no sign of these ust barons.
