@Jambalya – i rode my covert for a while with 170 vengeance forks – they are quite tall and made it handle worse, usually on 160 floats but with the vengeance it was just too tall, 160mm is the sweet spot!

All about originality. Like the Chameleons weren’t.

The Chameleons were before the Smiths and EATBM, think they even produced their first album

‘working’ with some of the most profoundly autistic individuals in the UK, when staff/people ask them “do you want a receipt?” or “would you like a bag?” instead of ignoring them and talking to me.

Oh and being nearly as fast as Peachey on rush up rock blast, it was dark and i had no lights.

Marton, near congleton. But I’d move it closer to the Peak district.

The horse riders around the Roman lakes are very often married to mtbers, are friendly and know of the large amount of mtbers in the area.
Everyone is very aware of the different groups that ride these local bridleways and we all get along with polite waiting and thanking and the usual small talk where necessary.
The Strawberry Hill descent really suits horses, however it won’t be long before it’s all fun again when the heavy winter rains arrive.

+1 the horsey lot around marple are ace 🙂 never had any issues, they speak highly of the mx crowd too!! :s

Suggested St Annes as that’s where i’m at atm and my DBS check was done within the week, wasn’t aware of any delay. Thought the OP had perhaps applied for teaching jobs over the border, DBS check may have gone to different place unless they have a centre…

Tarmac, lots of it. All over the peaks including Kinder.

The horsey lot have some pretty powerful allies….

From my (naive) point of view Blacka moor you have an abundance of trails so quite easy to keep both activities separate where with the proposed routes there are no alternatives.

I bought a mojo HD frame and swapped my stuff across. This included 150mm Revelations. I felt that the frames stiffness really exaggerated the forks flexiness (if that makes sense!). Felt that I couldn’t really push the bike to its limits.

    Chris Akrigg runs revs..

DLA is a bit shit btw, not very reliable, which may bother some.

Atm i’m commuting to sportcity, well 5 mins away. 11 mile ride in almost entirely off road or a 25/30 drive in from marple btw. Tried the train & tram but it took ages and full of **** & fat people.

I’ve had far more dodgy replies on here than on PB. One guy on PB paid 18quid to have a set shimano sintered brakes posted to brazil!!

HTN is a Prestwich / Irwell Valley thing.

But if you want to organise one at Clayton then go for. One thing that we have shown is that anything is possible if you put your mind to it

I certainly wouldn’t be short of volunteers.

We’re working on a return in 2015. Too many obstacles to overcome to have a chance of there being a htn next year. The course will almost certainly be ‘new’.

Thanks for the positive comments though

Clayton Vale, with 300 of us surely we outnumber the chavs

Marple & taxis are horrible prices – usually why i end up walking every time, plus i’m tight with money. Think they are used to ferrying around the drunk golf lot!

If all goes well i’ll be driving again this weekend – i do lifts 17.25 😈
