BBS, have a look at next years range of bikes. Really not much choice in 26″ frames compared to 27.5/29ers

Replace talas bit with a float bit. Mine are mint now and they sag more so they sit into their travel nicely for climbs

@aaron few local lads are running springy bikes without guides with pretty good results. Me i’m far too clumsy to ride without some sort of bash guard.

+1 for evening job – 2/3 evenings a week and make sure the money goes into a separate account – don’t carry that card around or have it linked online etc..

Make batch meals – i tend to make massive chilis and stews – portion out into little freezer bags saves cooking a few nights.

I only grease the cups so popping the bearings out again shouldn’t be such a Ballache. With loads of grease you’ve got something for all the grit to live in and grind away.

Way more interesting than 99.9% of mountain bike ‘films’ with a load of dudes talking in made up words like gnarly and loamy and other such rubbish. Can’t stand bike vids these days they’re all the same. Dull.

Very true, nothing worse than watching some get ready for a ride in slo-mo or putting a bike a car/van, again in slo-mo.

Not a fan either, a crap advert for OO and an intro into some bizarre cult. Shame cos everything else he does is mint but you can’t please everyone.

sell plenty of dh parts but dh bikes tend to be on off builds, not off the peg.

Being realistic i’d still be working a little but **** off whenever i want or feel – ride my bike from marple to eastern russia the long way, eating and drinking most things in site 🙂

Doubt i would have many friends if i won the lottery, i’d sort the grafters outs though, enough so they’d never have to worry or put in 90 hrs weeks again.

First things first – straight to the lbs and put a massive order and getting building some bikes!

Long term i build me own school for severe autism – aba therapy. Sod all the learning stuff, just teaching independant and living skills, along with a few hobbies – riding, climbing skiing etc etc.

I’d still be working just less hours & massive holidays 🙂 today, eating food for today’s ride & I’d pay for pub tea and drinks.

My bike would have matching rims & a working reverb.

I’d also have a load of that neverwet stuff, where ever it is.

Winter’s coming so I’d be whilster bound 🙂

Yes,,I think. Money no option build? Use the e13 dh hubs with the massive flange so you use normal/26″ spikes but on a 29er rim

I’m 6″1 and got a cooper S, not bad and can fit 2 people in the back easily if they are short arses.

Plenty folks with much heavier builds than that claiming much lower weights.

Me! Always thought mine would weigh a ton

My covert comes in at 31. 2×10 with a cheap cassette, slx f&r mechs but with X0 cranks. Pro2 hub with a flow up front and a spank spike on the back – 2.4 RQ up front and a baron out back. 36 floats, deore brakes, renthal fat bar plus a reverb, nothing really lightweight so you could get it down quite easy.

Cheers for feedback. Always ridden a frame a little too small and just learn not to hit my knees. Ordered a Large in gritstone, happy days!

I’m nearing 3500 – to 4000 without a decent ride in the day. But the only time i sit down is when i have crap.

I get around 5-8 months out of mine before they split – get ’em from biketart when they are cheap and i don’t mind too much. Keep on meaning to get another pair of AM45s as they last a lot longer.

Cheers, 50mm stem and wide bars. Pretty sure it’ll be a large.
