With respect OP, you do offer up quite a lot of detail about your life online. I’m not criticising you for it, but I imagine it wouldn’t be too hard for a scammer to build up a decent profile of you and use it in a less than honest manner.

I believe that some TVs now have a single lead that provides power and signal to the tv, which connects to a box where all your hdmi sources plug in. Using one of these TVs might make your life easier

CFH, however much you try and spin it, air travel of any class is not glamorous. Under any other circumstances a man of your means wouldn’t choose to sit in a cramped seat/narrow bed at home, watching a small tv screen and eating reheated food for 8+ hours, just because there is a good wine list.

Kcr – I’m very interested in the Bose device you linked to for a family member.

How does it work with the tv and a Bluetooth dongle if there are others watching the same program? Doesn’t the Bluetooth “steal” all the sound for the Bose device so that anybody else watching gets no sound?

You can get low rise underfloor heating kits that run off your central heating. My colleague has it installed, I can’t recall the brand name now. The whole system only raises the floor height by 15mm, and you can lay your flooring on too (no screed etc)

I was meant to be doing it, but it ended up clashing with a stag do that I can’t get out of. I’ve got a fast track ticket available if anybody is interested….

Is it really worth it though? So you’ve had a few free upgrades, does that offset the stress and angst caused by being angry about all sorts of things that don’t matter ? (a tin of biscuits for example)

I’ve had no problems with my hue bulbs in terms of size. You can also use IKEA tradfri bulbs with a Phillips hue system – they are a lot cheaper than the hue bulbs, but also of reputable quality – I.e not Chinese crap off amazon

DrP – if you are using scaffold fixtures then the cut end of the pipe will likely be hidden inside the fixtures. In which case you don’t need to worry too much about the quality of your cut

@kayak – can you suggest anywhere in the West mids (I know you are in Leam) where a layman can buy decent wood such as oak for home projects? Or even somewhere online?

Can anybody with the S confirm if it does iPlayer etc in 4K? I’m tempted by one for my 4K tv, but I would be a casual gamer at best, so I’m not so fussed by 4K games. If it supported normal 4K tv though then that would be great.

Don’t use a cheapo application gun. Screwfix do an orange on for 10-15 quid and it makes application a lot more controllable
