On new plaster I’ve always used diluted PVA, followed by two coats. Works fine for me.

Barnsley to Mold this afternoon: had to turn round on the Woodhead Pass, now closed. Went north for the A635 Holfirth to Manchester, snow gates closed.Right up North via Oldham OK.

Three and a half hours I’ll never get back. And I’m still cross

I’ve raced Enduro a bit and would love to do this. However I’m too old, untalented and nowhere near brave enough!

Chapeau to all those that compete and more so to those who finish against all odds, esp. the unsupported privateers.

    A wonderful spectacle and challenge.

Hi, I’m around 65kg and the suggested pressures on the label are way over IMO. 80psi positive, 75psi negative. If the negative is higher than the positive, it reduces travel.

I had a blackbird fly into me when on’t motorbike. It was like being hit by a brick

Me too, or more accurately, a pigeon.

Thing exploded, guts up the helmet and a bruise which covered from my neck to the bottom of my ribs on the right side. Couldn’t cough/laugh for weeks. Luckily I stayed on!

I have, well a Ford Freda, which is the same thing.

Top vehicles, but with some idiosyncratic features. Have a look on the Bongo Fury website forum, they’ll answer all your questions.

according to the stats you burn up to 1000 calories for a 50min run.

That sounds on the high side; more 500-700 p/h I would have thought. But running does work for me in keeping the weight off.

Mike, hope to see you in the next few weeks. I imagine at your advancing age pneumonia is pretty serious…. Get well and look forward to seeing you and ‘Love Hate’ in a few weeks.

I’ll get you for this Nic!

I’m in corporate finance – investing. Most of the financial modelling I encounter from accountants is done with Excel. I imagine that account prep and general reporting will continue to be done on Sage, or a comparable package, but Excel will be around and v. much a part of accountancy practices for some time to come.

    I love my Love/Hate SS.

I ride a SC Superlight most of the time (and an UJ CX), but anything up to, say, 2 hours I prefer the SS. I see it as a challenge and when I’m fit enough, I can do the Llandegla Black slightly quicker on the SS, although I’m always more knackered!

I’m always polite to all bikers too.

    Eat now.

My advice would be kebab, extra chilli sauce. Have a couple of beers too.
