tj, they are eight and three, the distance is nearly two miles! Also school policy means you have to take them into the school and pretty much to their classroom, you can’t leave them at the gate, not even the eight year old.
I sigh with relief when I get home after Fridays school run, there are stupid and dangerous things happening every day. It must be nice to be able to walk it, but we don’t all have that luxury, for many people there is a very small window of time to drop your kids off and get to work on time at a very busy part of the day.
Very easy, lot’s of guides online. Pretty much undo top and bottom threads, remove old damper, fit new damper, tighten top and bottom. Over simplifying, but not much more to it.
Happy with my MT5’s, but I think you need Magura rotors to get the best out of them as they are thicker. The bleed process was quite easy and has been rock solid since I did it.The long levers seem fine to me, you get used to them and don’t think about it. My previous brakes were zee which were great when used regularly, but would spaz out if left too long.
At similar weight I was running no tokens, but with higher pressure, have you tried that? Tokens just made it harsh on the hands for me, run some compression if riding steep stuff.
I have faith they will work, albeit under par, it’s just a PITA that every time I get the bike out the reverb lever needs a bleed and the rear brake is playing up. Loving my hardtail at the moment and it always just works. There doesn’t seem to be a brake on the planet which is universally liked!
