Thanks all, I will do some research, but it looks very promising!

Fantastic vid, my boy is approaching three, but just on a balance bike at the moment. Pump track does look fun and I do intend to visit, but I’m mainly looking for rides which don’t require the car, sneaky morning rides particularly.

Good point mate, I will get his details from you a bit nearer the time.

I’ve always liked Roam, Seasons has some great bits and Super8 for DH racing.

Yes, I cycled the damper on emptying and again when filling. I’m thinking it more likely not enough oil, but not by much.

    Will try that thanks.

Thanks Sue, CyB is looking like a good option.

I did like the look of beddgelert, but Snowdon is a bit of a one trick pony. Somewhere near a trail centre is ideal for me, particularly a centre with more than one option.

Very nice indeed, but rotate your chainguide anti clockwise a touch.

More food for thought, I will look into both those options thank you.

Thing is though, they are a very good pair of shorts for the money, mine did come with removable hip pads too. What good DH shorts can you buy for £27?

We will be mostly walking, visiting beaches, castles and childrens activities. peace, quiet and countryside with the option for me to get a few rides in.

We want a nice cottage with an enclosed garden, but we expect to have to drive to any attractions. Much as my wife and I love Edinburgh/York etc they are not ideal places to take a dog.

I’m currently running a 32t Renthal ring on new saint cranks with no issue.

Ok grum, I will refine my search to ByC, I quite liked the Marin.

Thanks all, the main attraction of Penmachno is being able to pedal to the trail, so I could potentially get out for a few hours on most days.

I’m not worried about the one horse town aspect, we would expect to drive pretty much everywhere.Nice dog walks and reasonably close by activities for an almost three year old would be a bonus.

Mine is fine, but coffee goes cold very quickly!

It isn’t just about setting sag, I like to know how much travel I’m using on a given trail.

I was 37, it gets easier and you wouldn’t be without them.My dog was fine when little stard arrived too, she tends to keep out of his way.

My mastiff had her tail removed on Monday after a tumour was found. She is getting back to her normal self, but I miss the thump of her tail on the ground when you say her name.On the plus side my young son wont be whacked in the face anymore.

The other side of the coin is that kids can be pretty mean and some parents pay no attention to what their little darlings are up to.

I’ve witnessed other children being pretty nasty to my 21/2 year old in various situations only to find the parents playing with their phones paying no attention. If my son is being a little monster he gets pulled on it pronto.

Good to hear, hopefully I will get similar news, but I’m not looking forward to my eight stone dog wearing a giant lamp shade!

Thanks, just waiting for my wife to check we are covered by the insurance, it will be the second big claim in three months! Soon as we get the green light we will book her in, hopefully she wont lose the tail.

It does make me wonder where the info comes from for custom tuning?!

I did the Aston XC recently and it should suit your needs, plenty of tricky technical bits, plenty of roots and likely to be pretty much empty.

Mine have done that from birth, so I don’t really count creaky knees.

Sounds like I have done pretty well getting this far then! Mind you I do a similar checklist to camo and I have to spend an age warming up before squats.

I have to make a conscious effort not to do it now, it’s rubbish!

Thanks for that messiah, can you tell me what the float damper cost including postage and import tax please?

YT Industries all mountain thingy, I had a go on it recently and even though it’s 170mm travel it was fun at Swinley. The Bos suspension only uses the travel when it needs to and feels firm and sprightly on smoother stuff. The spec is ridiculous for the money.

I’m very interested in this too! What money are we talking for floats?
