I’m giving it serious consideration. I live 7 miles from work there’s 2 routes and both have a hill start but then a nice ride after and are easier after the first ten mins or so. My insurance is £64 a month I spend £150 on petrol and then there’s tax, mot’s etc and the ba**ard thing has cost me over £2k in repairs this last year.

I was thinking about ‘nipping’ here and there and actually when I go to a hen do next weekend I’ve bought a train ticket for £43 return it would have cost me £60 in petrol so its cheaper for some runs……

But having a car since I was 17 I may feel like my legs have been cut off!!!????

Yes, take pictures of any damage and email them to your landlord/s I dd this as there was all sorts he’d not checked like a cracked sink etc just saves argument and the ‘dated’ email with the photos shows it from when you moved in and not later (just if you get keys and no-one meets you there etc) sounds paranoid but it saves problems when you go to move out

My peer in ‘green’ issues at Bolton council earned £12k more than me I saw her job advertised, BUT, she now has no job and mine is funded for another 3 years by BIG so its actually safer in the 3rd sector these days I don’t envy the uncertainty.

My friend who’s a town planner had everyone in her office choose to go down 4 days so she didn’t lose her job and they could stay as team, not sure I’d have got that from my colleagues when I worked in the private sector…..BUT there are a lot of ring fenced jobs there who still get full salary till retirement age even if they get rid of them do they still do that??? surely not???

Thats gonna make you feel sluggish and tired for a start, drinking enough water? I feel rubbish if I’m dehydrated

Advice from someone who’s tried every diet going, joined every gym going then not gone, tried herbal stuff, you name it I’ve had an excuse for why its not worked. I’ve been pushing myself to hike or ride and its coming off and I’m sleeping better and look better and have more energy.

Its NOT easy but its fairly simple, start moving again start small then build it up it’ll come back quickly.

Is there any emotional reasons? Was for me for a long time and those need resolving too.

I’m doing slimming world as its healthy eating and not a diet as such.

The SPA’s are more usually down south for the rarer birds so the Swinley Forest fire’s probably causing problems this time of year but then ground nesting birds are gona find it hard to find somewhere up here to sit thats not BBQ’d!!!

Cougar I only stopped coz a woman in front of me bottled it near a tree and just stopped and blocked the way

He was up there well over that way on Sunday its a right old mess, the other side of Darwen too near the high school the fires coming right up to the garden fences

Well he did struggle to keep up with me on the climbs 😉

But yes I did enjoy it there was one little bit which was a really steep slope on a corner down to a narrow bridge that I bottled and got off apart from that did the rest

Binners bust the lock off ours then couldn’t fix it so its got the wheelie bin with his empties in it (which won’t be moved its so heavy) so I suggest just drink more then pop your recycle bin in front….

Not bad for a girl although knackered my nails gripping on for sheer fear of death
