My friend works for ‘Save the Children’ and I’ve heard stories about 8 year old lads in some African states getting dragged out of their huts and having a gun shoved in their hands. There are sides to wars that are not noble and the people involved there aren’t their through choice or fighting for what they believe in.

I just hate wars full stop, any of them, I’m no expert (cue the abuse) but they all seem fuelled by greed for oil, money or power for a minority and its all just wrong 🙁

My ex sister in law used to lash out every time she was drunk to her husband he would end up restraining her as she’d chuck stuff and claw and scratch at his face and try to bite him this went on for 8 years and once he hit her back as he just flipped and as he’d been a bit of a bad lad (footie fighting with other blokes) it was seen he’d got previous in GBH and he was charged.

I’ve also seen the other side with a friend petrified to leave the house in anything more than mascara on her face or she’d ‘get a slap’.

Both genders should be treated the same I think I guess its all relative to the extent of the injury in the courts eyes is it???

In the fridge they start fermenting! If you freeze stews and soups with pearl barley in and things like that that seems to keep for quite a while.

Try working in the third sector you’re lucky if you get a mince pie, no such thing as paid for do’s or bonuses guess every sector is the same now for most companies anyway. Used tog et a two night stay in a hotel with food, drinks and a bonus when I worked for major players in the private sector as a PA….

As Binner’s other half I’d like to add I’m well proud of him and yes he’s right he’s got into such a cantankerous moaning old Victor Meldrew recently that no-one, including me, has noticed he’s being anymore grounchy.

It is nice to be able to watch a film without having to pause it every 15 mins!!

My mate John’s a vegan and once a year he does a week or raw foods only and reckons its good for him. The thing I find hilarious is he drinks more than Binners (I know!) and smokes weed 4/5 days out the week….

Depends if you’re going into it with an open mind, if not, don’t bother. If you are then its got to be worth a go eh?

I’ve still got a tape of a session I went to to a guy in Bolton and every time I’ve got to a point where I feel really low or am not sleeping again I use it every night before going to sleep and within a few days feel great again.

I wouldn’t bother with someone who’s not experienced or buying a CD off ebay you need a consultation with someone proper first so they can tailor it to what you need.

As a girl I think its about a minority of people getting off on being cyber bullys and trolls (think that’s what you call them)Its not that easy to walk away from someone in your face who’s bullying you or saying something offensive (I was bullied for 3 years at senior school) but it is easy enough to come off a thread and look for another discussion without leaving the site entirely.

I wouldn’t personally rise to someone I didn’t know or didn’t care to know saying thing mindless about something I didn’t care about I’d just use the off button, unfortunately something I couldn’t do when I was getting my head panned in by a group of peers……

I’ve personally felt welcomed by most and have been challenged on some opinions but that’s different that someone being offensive so on the whole I’d say its an OK place to be as a woman and I’ve seen worse MUCH worse on Mumsnet….!
