Chekw its VERY RARE charities are lining their own pockets another urban myth there are some con artists but most of us are working for buttons because we want to make a difference ‘somewhere’ I earn as much as someone full time in a supermarket for doing a senior project managers job…. no-one I know is doing it for the money sweets!! 😀

TJ – Julie was right unpopular charities i.e. (visually impaired) like mine aren’t ‘sexy’ charities people give to hospices, cancer, armed forces which are all worthy but attract money easily.

Is there a cycling charity for people knocked off bikes / kids unable to afford bikes / local kids cycling group?

Beautiful animals. It was out of season when I was there and one of the staff let us go through to the side of the huge penned area and sit quietly and we saw a mum and her babies it was amazing!!

Legacies are so important to charities unrestricted funding you can use for general running costs is very rare to find. Is there anyone who’s helped you or your close family?

We’ve just got a legacy from a visually impaired couple who died quite close together and this means we can carry on, even after council funding cuts, to continue to help other people like them in my local area.

Pick a local charity rather than national or regional if you can as we don’t have the money to employ huge teams of people to market the charity we’re too busy ACTUALLY helping people.

She’s had alot of stress with her husbands illness its hardly suprising she’s stressed and depressed. She could have had lapses before that just haven’t been publisised I guess? I only know one person with Bi-Polar and they have manic highs as well as the lows.

I really feel for her, depression is a hard enough thing to ‘deal’ with for everyone not just the person diagnosed hope she starts to feel ‘less foggy’ soon.

Rugby League is my favourite game NOT Union although I will watch that too as what’s not to like about chunky monkey men running round getting muddy in short shorts…. I do like the sport too though!!! Its just an added bonus

Its more about the effort rather than the value, the fact you’ve saved up to get her something is so nice. Its the effort NOT the monetary value that makes your female want to see your wi**y 8)

Cromwells Bridge near Stoneyhurst College sat on this and eaten my butties on a few walks round there. 8000 of his troops went across it to the Battle of Preston although why someone would want to fight for Preston I’m not sure 😀 This area is supposedly where some of the Lord of the Rings ideas came from as his son was at college there or he lectured there for a while can’t remember the story I was too busy eating my pork pie

I’m not 100% sure as its been ages but have used this in an old job based round training material, think you can cherry pick from what I remember as to which bits people can use for common purpose i.e. ours was to take away training material and train their own teams but they couldn’t then re-use it as their own training material to run sessions themselves for profit so I guess non commercial purposes was what we chose.

It made more sense in my head….
