Quite right Romster, your attempt was worse, not least because its on a road bike.

There's more money in breaking up, getting people nostalgic as they age and earn more money, then reforming and taking more of that more money.

Just get out the saddle more and pull the mtb up the uphills, and stick a brick in the camelback, gets the guns working.

The warmer weather means going into a london pub after work, ordering a pint, going outside, then nipping over to tescos for some cheap underhand refills.

The National is the worst horse race to bet on, too many horses and too many obstacles meaning even the best horses don't finish.
    Saying that, Black Apalachi.

Fox is the mtbing equivalent of the i-pod. People are brainwashed by the marketing, but there are plenty of other companies that make just as good, if not superior, versions for a cheaper price.
This is coming from an experienced Fox user.
If I was building up a bike I would get RockShox all the way.

I'd be surprised if that turned up on brick lane itself, it would stand out too much even for those shameless theifs. I work in East London and will keep my eyes peeled. As Talkemada says, definitely contact the old bill, they are doing lots of car patrols in hackney to flush out some criminals before the olympics.

Gazza was the best player in the world in 1990-91, after knee injury nowhere near the same. He would have been better than Best otherwise.
Saying that, Best was four levels off Maradona, who was on the same level as Pele. Messi is lined up to join them.
Other great players in the same bracket as Best: Beckenbauer, Zidane, Cruyff, and Van Basten (and probably Rooney). UK has produced two of the world's most clinical strikers ever in Greaves and (the early) Robbie Fowler.

There's a horrible rape scene in excaliber. Saw it when I was way too young.
    That put me off rape.

I've done pretty much that loop, it's in the killer category I would use the road to do the last bit of dunkery in order to fully enjoy the descent.

Yes postira, about 10k along the coast from supertar. Great place to get married, do it soon before/incase they join the euro so it will be cheaper :-)

Hey Backhander, buying on the north side of the island, its a new development, compared to the uk it's reasonable and as I'm an academic with those long hols it makes more sense for me to buy out there (live with folks in london). The croatian economy contracted about 5% last year, so prices have stabalised, but as a lot of construction companies went out of business, there isn't much on offer at the moment so the prices aren't basement cheap. Hvar is a completely different story as it's seen as the new ibiza and prices are pretty high there, say 200euro for a two bed apartment, I guess compared to ibiza itself though that's not too bad.

Like Ziggy said, coffee in coffee shops. Some people I worked with wouldnt think twice about going twice a day to the bucks or nero, add that up over the year, that's a lot of money. I would have looked down on them until I remembered how much I'd pay for a pint of the cat's piss.

Hvar also has expensive shops, mention that to her instead.
Have a great time let us know how it goes and post some pioneering pics.

Agree completely with talkemada. MTB things like forks and shocks are ridiculously over-priced. So much MTB technology is just a smaller version of off-road motorbike engineering, but twice the price and with less moving part.
    Plus UK housing.

Found this holiday mtb http://www.summer-activity-holidays.com/tour_itinerary_mountainbike.html – could be used as a basis for one day's ride

Well the alps it ain't, more free-ride light kind of riding (only what I've observed, I've never been out there on a bike), but with amazing views over the sea and other islands. Closest thing to paradise in europe.
Bol is the liveliest part of Brac plus you can easily get over to Hvar, which is really cool for nightlife fit birds and clubs. Flights are fairly cheap on easyjet for split right now, I think you should do it. Also you could spend a night or two in split, another good party town.

Funny to see this post just now, as I'm buying a place on Brac. It has the highest mountain of all croatian islands at 770metres. Not seen anybody doing mtb holidays there though. Best way is as you say, easyjet then ferry, only takes 50 mins on ferry and they go every hour.

Good point GaVgAs, I gave up the booze when I was out of work; found I could get pretty smashed off three pints for a while after that.

The success of giving up booze (and there are two good reasons, money and your stomach), depends on your lifestyle. Do your friends all drink? Do you work in a drink-friendly area like law? If so then I find it's tough to give it up permanently. I'm largely going for moderation this year, but think I could knock the whole thing on the head by the time I'm mid-30s.

Rinse in your mouth? What if you got mud in that too?
Getting mud in GPs is absolute agony I find. I just carry around the contact lense pod with the solution in it and rinse it in that.

Just recovering from this now, been ill since sunday, so for me it took four days. Lost 3/4 of a stone, but doubt that will benefit my riding as strength wise I've been hit for six. And it was my bloody birthday last week!

Part-time academic, part time consultant. Both okay at the moment, but cuts are on the way so who knows.
Burrowing away my earnings, guess that makes me as much the problem as the solution for the immediate economic outlook.
