Got rid of my Kona Dawg FS back in March and built up a Bfe which has evolved since and I don’t regret it! I live and ride in the Lakes (Grizedale Bridleways being my local trails) and ride everything faster on the Bfe and than I did on the Dawg!

Now’t wrong with a full suss edit, its just the hardtail one’s are fewer and far between! I bought a bfe in April and its needs no justification, but we all need a little inspiration now and again!

I’ve got a Bfe, i bought it earlier in the year, and initially ran 130 revs on it, I’ve now gone bigger and stiffer up front with a set of 150 fox 34’s. I’m loving it to be fair its a great rag around bike which I use for everything from natural xc rides to enduro’s, I’m faster on it than my old full suss too!

All of the TNF trail, The Black and the bridleways open that side of the Forest. I’m not sure if they started any timber extraction on the otherside of the road yet but that will be happeing at somepoint I believe.

Cheers the pain seems to be pretty much localised to my lower back as opposed to buttocks and thigh, it just hurts to bend twist and lift; and there was a definite pulling sensation when it happened so not too concerned about it being cyatica (In the sort term any how. I’ve been icing it we’ll see what the morning brings!

Coniston is a great central point, Grizedale, Hodge Close, Blawith Common and so many other great riding spots near by! If you have the VP book you’ll find gold! the Tom Hutton book is pretty good too!

It maybe too late but Go ape were recruiting for Grizedale and Whinlatter both with a variety of hours, we used to have a retired bobby working at Grizedale to fund his cigars and ski holidays!

Cheers folks. On Chain reaction cycles it has the howitzer bb’s reasonably priced and as well as the 67/73mm measurement it also has options for chainline; 51 or 56mm. What does this mean or relate to?
