Thank you for my iphone training :D

I must admit with an office that is 90% female they looked at me like I’d landed from another planet when I told them I’d never used an iphone when I started the new job :-)

This is all a bit confusing.

If you take a photo in a public place of pretty much ANYONE you own the copyright the second the camera photo/camera goes click in UK.
The subjects can be Kids(not yours) , adults, dogs, cat does not matter public place there is no issue so long as it’s for none commercial purposes.

If that image is then use for commercial purposes you need everyone in that image to have signed a model release. Otherwise you cannot use it for commercial purposes/personal gain.

So any image you take the copyright is yours.

If you post that image on Facebook / any social media platform the press can then “argue” this image has been released into the public domain and so as a piece of “news”, in the public interest it “may be used”.

BUT the copyright of the image is still the person who took the image and if the news paper or anyone else used it for advertising etc You could screw them for copyright infringement.

If your lucky depending on the size of the image used they may offer you £25.00 for the use of the image in the paper especially if they did not credit the original source but you will not be talking telephone numbers that’s for sure!

I am not a lawyer or legal professional just had a few images published over the years.

I don’t know how many court test cases have been used yet in regards to media using social media images.

    FROM BBC

    Legal Issues

The re-use of material from the internet can raise legal issues of privacy and copyright. A strong public interest reason for using a photograph can help justify re-use without permission, but you should not automatically assume that pictures or video you are seeking to include can be used under ‘fair dealing’. Advice is available from BBC Lawyers.

General licences are issued by government agencies to provide a legal basis for people to carry out a range of activities relating to wildlife. By definition you do not need to apply for general licences but you are required by law to abide by their terms and conditions.

General licences are renewed annually in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. These general licences are made available on the websites of the relevant government agencies and include those general licences relevant to the all year round control of ‘pest birds’ such as carrion and hooded crows, magpies and woodpigeon. Control methods allowed under general licence may include shooting; the destruction of eggs and nests; and the use of cage traps such as larsen traps, larsen mates and multi-catch traps.

In regards to stuff hung on fences many moons ago as others have said it was to prove the gamekeeper was doing his/her job and was known as a ‘gamekeeper’s gibbet’.

Back in the day when I first started gamekeeping we still used them but within 2 years they were phased out due to the fact

    A) They stank ALOT!
    B) As more townes moved out of the cities and either bought or rented houses on estates they did peoples heads in with their constant complaining about them, so we just cut them down and buried them for an easier life. :-)
    C) It saved you lugging dead stuff back to hang it up. Foxes etc get quiet heavy after a while when you on foot and several miles from base

That’s my personal take on it anyway.

Death threat from a known (at the time) terrorist organization.

They were going to blow me up, after two weeks I got sick of checking my vehicle at the time.
Plod said they could not do anything unless they carried out the threat which was not encouraging from my point of view TBH. :?

I must admit I was pleased when they turn up recently.

Next door neighbor daughter screaming and hysterical, I run round find mother with head/neck (not really sure)wound, unconscious and a big pool of claret.

Now I’ve forgot most of my first aide but remembered head/neck (could not see with the red stuff what was what) best not move her.

All ended well eventually but glad they turn up as quick at they did. I ended up on mop up duties once the professionals arrived :-)

    M6 near Brum
    M60 every day
M56 because I’m up and down it every day and wonder HTF did most of these people get a license.

A special shout out to the young lady the other day clear road in front her in the middle lane; breaks on breaks off, breaks on breaks off etc for a few miles eventually as I passed as you guessed it playing with her mobile phone resting it on the steering wheel!FFS

Some days I would just love to have a snowplough and just push these idiots off the road completely.

Wickes here no issues except the designer got one unit wrong as there lower range is off the shelf we just went to the shop and exchanged it.

GF ordered a custom work top and then box standard units had the lot delivered on the same day and a mate and myself fitted it all no problems.

It’s a small kitchen and we pulled out the old one and fitted the new one in one day (I’d pre-built the units during the week after work before the day of the fitting ) :-)

One of the small RC helis would be better IMO he will have to learn to use the sticks a lot more and only £30.00.
Ive had proper RC helis and they are VERY difficult to fly and expensive to maintain if he wants to go bigger then move him to a Phantom etc drone.

Harry I became a proper pain in the arse for my GP went back 3 times with the same issue after being fobbed off with ibuprofen etc.. and eventually he referred me to physio.

1st was **** useless and told me lots of things I should not be doing (rest it, do not to any exercise it etc..)the 2nd was a bloody genius all the previous information the first one told me was incorrect she knew what the problem was dished out the exercises, give me a bollocking when I had not been doing them (she just knew!)

And now it’s in a much better place. You pay enough enough NI just tell them your still not happy with assessment, I originally told him I was not happy with his diagnosis and wanted a scan I suppose a referral to a physio is cheaper than having the scan?? Who knows :-)

Anyway my knee works much better now, and it’s not a bad thing having an extremely attractive young woman running her hand over your legs ether :D

Play computer games, surf the web/youtube. Never watch TV.
My commute 2-3 days a week is 16 mile round trip a day on the bike.

Wednesdays is cinema night (I love it as it breaks the week up) go with my cus every week gives her a rest from her teenage daughter, we have a beer and a chat watch a film, nice evening.

Yes I know I have no kids, but my job is pretty physical most days and quiet stressful.

Been working for my (now ex gf) well. 10mg but she is 8 stone drip wet.

Without it she was a Jackal and Hide character I walked into the house wondering who I’d be living with that day (she worked nights I worked days).

With it I was able to live with her again without the thought of a new patio. I could tell instantly when she had missed a dose though as clear as black and white.

Just seen this myself I would have thought the expensive bit is the keeping 4 ships running 24/7 with crew, fuel, power etc.

Not the Nuclear Armageddon just sat in the silos waiting to be fired. Although I suppose a full service and MOT on a nuclear weapon every (insert time scale) does not come cheap.

Personally I think we need to keep them as one day to piss the yanks off North Korea my decide to give us in the UK a nice sun tan and I would hope someone in a bunker somewhere as most of us vaporize, would do the same back, if they have the balls that is.

We should have used them already anyway on the new IS area on the globe IMO. At least we would have got some of our moneys worth out of them.

The ONLY reason I moved to a Panasnoic GH4 was for the 4K video the 7D Mk II still kicks it’s arse on stills.
The last shots I did with it was a mates band in very “challenging” lighting conditions up to 3200 ISO looked fab I even got some shot at 12800 ISO that were usable bloody great camera. Wish I still had it TBH :?

It’s funny at my previous firm I searched the company servers one day for “Christmas Bonus” to see if we were going to get one and up popped a spread sheet with the entire firms salaried staff wage list and % Xmas bonus.
No security, password or anything salaries from the MD down but none for the production staff were on it. Made for a very interesting read 8O

    All I concluded was
    1) Some people worked their arses off for very little rewards.
    2) Some people got paid shit loads for doing very little.

How well you got on with the Chairman had a big bearing on this
Unfortunately I was in category 1, I left within 6 months.
