To be fair it’s just not the young kids who are a pain in the arse I’ve had 3 confrontations in the cinema over the past 12 months all of them with teenagers to be honest.

1 x kicking my and my mrs chairs from behind constantly
1 x talking / making lots of noise I let them yap all the way through the trailers but within 5 mins of the main feature I had to say something.
1 x mobile phone going off and yapping on it.

They all seem very supprised when you turn round stand up and tell them in the nicest possible way to either stop kicking the chair or shut the **** up!

The chair kickers actually left and my mrs was expecting security to tell me to leave after I explained nicly what I was going to do if they didn’t stop :-)

Ok I used to work outdoors so when your out in it every day I’ve found the best way to dry footware out fast is the following

Take said footware off stuff with newspaper right down to the toes.

After 10 mins remove paper into recyle bin

    Fill footware again with newspaper

After 30 mins remove 2nd load into recycle bin and you gussed it, fill with newspaper.

After 30 mins remove 3rd load into recycle bin and you gussed it, fill with newspaper.

After 2 hours you will have damp but useable footware ideally the footware while this is going on will be under a decent radiator.

Over night you will be back to perfectly dry footware. :-)

I once worked solid for 2 weeks in the pooring rain and this was the only way of keeping feet going in such bobbins weather!

    Hi solarpowered,
Right well I’m based in Swinton, Manchester like to get out more often but A) Mates always have “something else to do” B) Never around when you need them lol.

I’ve a local 8 miler I use for fun pretty flat but with some intresting little spots and with present weather conditions pretty much always muddy! Other than that I trek out once a month to where ever the mood takes me mainly on Sundays at present Winlatter and Northface are my usual haunts always room for one more bike in the van :-)

I’ve know a few country lane drivers (ref above comments)and what tends to happen is one day/ night you, if your luck is in, will wake up in a hospital bed or if your luck is out don’t ever know what happend to themselves.

I’ve on more times than I care to remmber helped recovery teams pull vehilces out of woods, fields streams and rivers.

After the air ambulance/ parmedics have carted off the smart arse who though they were gods gift to rally drving on public roads.

I’ve used them for work in fact I’ve pretty much driven every 4×4 in the UK and what I say is this “People drive landrovers then try another 4×4 and don’t drive them again.”

Even if you use them off road day to day as I did there great at one thing only off road, there crap at carring anything (not enough room) and really heavy on juce.

If you want a tool for work go for a Hilux other than that I’d have a look at the car mags and see whats recommended. For a personal vehicle I had a dicovery for 12 month and I had more hassel with that than a Vitara I had for nearly 10 years!

I’m a semi-pro photographer, shooting weddings, portraits, fashion, sports, events etc… Back from the days when we used to use medium format and 35mm film cameras so I’ve been in the game quiet a while. 8O

And the best camera for the money at present is the 550D There are newer versions of it out and another one out very soon the 650D

BUT this camera will do all you need it to do. The sensor is the same as the 7D, 60D, 600D the quality of it is fantastic and you will really never really need more than 18 megapixles for personal images.

It lacks the total control you have with the 7D (I have 2 as well as a couple of 550D’s) but over all anyone starting out I’d go with a 550D.

My partner uses hers for the same type of work as she is lightly built and finds the 7D’s way to heavy for her (especially with the battery pack attached) and once in Lightroom I cannot tell the diffeernce AT ALL from images shot between the 2 types of camera.

Good luck with your final choice what ever it maybe :-)

We used to use the industrial (farm) strength Roundup on the estate and it killed EVERYTHING we used to spray it over 1/4 to 1/2 acre areas before working the land for replanting and it was excellent since they have marketed in the consumer market it’s crap.

The consumer version must be water down to hell as we used to use it at home (after my recomendation to the gf) at it’s been bobbins. :-(

I’ve just started this year at Christmas, played on my brothers now and again but bought my own after Christmas.

    Reasons
    1) Save money on the trip to work now doing 70 miles a week on the bike. Vans left on the drive and saves me £15.00 a week on fuel

    2) Get myself a bit fitter

    3) For the buzz when I’m acutally riding then just Commuting

    4) Girl friend works nights on Sundays so get me out of the house all day so I don’t wake her up :-)

Right as an ex-gamekeeper (que murdering b$%&”£ard comments)and having trained and used gundogs for a considerable time I’ll chim in here.

In general gun dog retrieve game to be dispatched by the best preditors on the planet, us. Most dog are trained not to bother with fur (rabbits etc)as in the gun line or beating line there job is to flush and retrieve birds.

If a rabbit is shot etc (maybe on a walkup day, shooting ground game is never really done on a main driven day as there is danger involved with fireing a gun towards the ground with maybe 20-30 people around you!!) then said dogs would also fetch said furry thing back as well as it’s been shot and it’s there job.

BUT if joe blogs is walking his gun dogs and there hunting around, they could pick said furry thing up, there would be more pressure on this as there was more than one dog present and the one that got to it first wanted to keep HIS find to himself.

In any case the animal in question must have been either very young or ill as usually normal gun dogs would not get a look in on a hare or rabbit even. as there far to quick for them que running dogs, lurchers etc…
