    Always rode with contacts
Did relentless 24 last October and reckoned couldn’t cope with contacts for 24 hours
Popped into Specsavers who sorted me with a pair of sunglasses frames with transition lenses for 60 odd quid
They did the job and I’ve been using them for cycling day night mtb and road since

Failed injectors then lots of random engine problems.
Computer couldn’t diagnose but a good independent mechanic suggested egr
We just blanked it off rather than new egr which sorted it.
Boot door opening itself and various other gremlins made me ditch it

Son had one and managed to break it
Posted new one straight away no questions asked
The standard tablet was 29 quid a couple of weeks ago.
Can pick up solid rubber or foam case on the bay for under a tenner
He hasn’t really used the additional content and it’s only for a year

Had the micra for years then lost keys a month ago which is why I was asking
    Micra turned up today!

    My thoughts were
    Tweezers on micra get use
Benefit of pliers on squirt, might substitute for tweezers for certain things
    Better scissors on micra
Tools accessible from outside of squirt

    Mtb idle
    Bit confused
You say you have booster on landing in black spot
Is booster not like a range extender?
Does it not need to be sited in an area of good signal?

My son made the pages of cycling weekly by the age of 5
    http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/latest-news/inside-mad-world-six-cyclocross-race-video-140088
Enjoys the cx races but they tend to be quite short, he enjoys the competitiveness but we have never pushed him
Now aged 8 he takes part in lots of different sports, most recent being surfing, was stand ing by end of first lesson so ultra keen on that at the moment
With cycling tennis Cubs swimming surfing football he’s kept busy and t this stage were just happy to give him the opportunity to try things
As he gets older we reckon he’ll choose what he enjoys the most

Main worry is how to attach the cabling and battery

Any show me their set up?

So a different Garmin would let you plug in for a lap or so and would have enough charge to finish?

Not sure how I could mount the battery lead as have Garmin mounted on stem and would be difficult to feed wire in.

With one which only needed a lap to charge I could stick it in a pocket for a lap I guess

Main worry is that I run out of power before the Garmin!

Currently running 42/28 double chainring and 10/36 cassette on a Planet X Dirty Harry 29er

Ordered the shimano xt kit 32t and 11/42 .
Probably will miss the 42 on the downhill road and fire road stuff we do but reckon it should be good for majority of stuff.

Hi Chrisl , been a few years since you swearing on night rides in the pentlands!
