    Thanks catvet. I’m still stumped!
I simply cannot find what I want!

catvet, you’re 5 is as good as your DW 5 spot with a CCDB?
That is interesting. How does that badboy climb?
The 5 is very nearly perfect for me, the suspension has put me off (I have tried one and it felt like it had half the travel of some 140 bikes I’ve been on) but if the CCDB makes that much of a difference I’d be interested.

Looks like it could be a ’10 5 spot with CCDB and angle change headset for me!
Is there anywhere that can tell me what spring is right for me? The TF one isn’t for CCDBs.

He may have a little way to go yet (he’s only 24), but I’m confident he can challenge for the Muppet crown.

Do you think Tf or mojo could do something with the RP23 to improve the ride or is it just a characteristic of the DW link?
Ive kind of got used to and prefer a slacker HA but the angled HS seems a very good solution without raising the BB IMO.

The lack of trails is probably not helping either.

How much does a Ti spring reduce the weight of the CCDB by?
    Worth a look?

    Great feedback thanks.
I’m still pretty keen on a 5 spot, however your comments about blowing through the shock travel concern me a bit.
If I go for a ’10 version, would a CCDB go straight on? Would a properly set up CCDB perform better than a RP23?

Once I got my first 29er, I realised that no 26″ bike really felt right for me, no matter how good the 26″ bike was. Sold them. Haven’t looked back and the rest of the world seems to be catching up with me now!

Aren’t you like 9 foot tall? Might have some thing to do with it.
How are you finding the sultan? Considering a 5 spot at the moment.

I’ve never felt happy because of the death of anyone before. It’s great news IMO.

Thanks for the replies so far chaps.
Overall are you entirely happy with your bikes?
What else did you demo/consider when buying and what did the spot do that the others didn’t?
I’m still a bit conflicted wether to buy the 10 or the 11 model.
Size large for a 6 footer sound about right?

Apologies vortex, I trust your source more than mine!
Past caring, an angleset would be the perfect solution. I could run the 36s at 150 and still have a nice HTA and low BB. What size are you 6 footers riding?

Thanks vortex, this was where I got the AtoC measurement from
    http://www.competitivecyclist.com/frame/2011-turner-5-spot-8671.html
Turners site doesn’t state one as far as I can see.
Edit: anyone Bristol based and willing to let me have a go on one?

Hey coogan, what coil shock are you running? Has it affected the climbing behaviour of the bike.
Looks very very nice. That flux of seftons looks fast and has sold me on the raw.

Thanks Stanley. Im not bothered about a bigger head tube, the forks will be 1 1/8 anyway.
I do like a HA around 67deg though, wondering how much my 36s will change the geometry. I currently run them at 150mm but can run them at 160 if required.

Liking the green. I’m thinking that with 160coil fork and coil rear they’d make a good mini dh bike.

Anyone know any good/cool apps that I should get(pref free)?
I’ve just got one but am worried that I’ll barely scratch the surface of it’s functionality. Yes it was a whim but it’s sooooo purdy and I was looking at buying a netbook anyway.

Just make sure he gets a different colour five.

don simon, this isn’t about hating a rugby player who we’ve probably not even met (I thought he was good on the snowy competition) It’s about discussing a bloke who seems to be trying to ruin every chance he gets. This has nothing to do with JW, he was just one of at least 3 team mates he decided to criticise including his capt. He wouldn’t be the first bloke to drop a bollock on the piss, but he does know that everyone is watching him and many (I don’t include myself in this) want him to mess it all up again. All he has to do is toe the line and keep his handsome nose clean. It shouldn’t be that hard.

Does this mean you don’t think I’m handsome? i have got feelings you know.

And the above link also doesn’t suggest that JW was there either.

And none of the posts you’ve quoted suggests that he was there either but you did say

Because the Handsome Gav called him a nasty name and pizzed (sic) him off and he had to get his friends to help him, poor little Jonny.

Which suggests that you were indeed jumping to conclusions. Why call me a handsome gav hater? I mean, I’m handsome but I’m not a gav hater.

So JW was there was he?
“handsome Gav called him a nasty name”?
Maybe he should havve proved his worth as a player like everyone else had to before gobbing off to the point that he got banged out.

Maybe I have very broad horizons and just plain don’t like football.

    and slagged off JW

And? How is JW a primadona because his team mates stuck up for him?

    WTF??

    WTF?

    Nicholas Anelka? Ring any bells?

    Nope

    Anyway, it seems we may have jumped the gun;

So who’s the prima donna then? Poor little Jonny…

??? what a ridiculous comment, he wasn’t even involved and may not even have been there. You could accuse JW of many things but he is no primadona.
Henson, although a good player has pizzed off the management and players at Ospreys, Saracens and now Toulon. See a pattern emerging? Is it all of the respective coaches and players faults for not making allowances?
It’s still a shame as I think the game would benefit from Henson in form playing good rugby and keeping his head down. It is seeming less and less likely to happen now.

Manager can’t deal with demanding player, so the solution is to sack shocker!

The point is he doesn’t have to. Henson was given a chance by a club who many very talented players would love to play for.
What I will say though is the toulon management were concerned that he would be going to the world cup and in my opinion, this affected the decision to sack him.

Maybe it’s the attitude that makes him a cut above the rest.

Well he’s not the best player on the planet (by some margin) and other better players seem to be able to hold down a job.

I think it all a bit of a shame really. Very talented centre, still plenty to offer rugby but can’t get his attitude sorted.
I was thinking the same as CFH in that he may well go to Oz. I have a feeling that wales will still take him to the WC though.
Has Powell still got a job?

Ah. Thanks 2unfit2ride what would you recommend at about £1000?
I don’t like too flashy, prefer uncomplicated hard wearing “mans” watch with bold numbers rather than dashes. Would love something without batteries (I love my eco drive) and perhaps atomic timekeeping?

Are Oris watches any good? Liking the BC4s and the big crowns.
The OT wants to buy me a watch as a wedding gift but all I know about watches is that I like Panerai luminors (which we cannot afford :( )

He rode the wave of credit and took all of the kudos, then blamed everything else when it went wrong.
Gordo was like a bloke with 100% mortgage, maxed credit cards, car on HP etc blaming the world economy for his monetary problems

Use full travel is different to bottoming out.
There is an obvious advantage to increased travel or sam hill would be running 80mm forks.
